Well, as some of you know, Avril Lavigne is being sued for copying her greatest hit 'Girlfriend'. I want to know what your opinions on this. If you listen to both songs, you will notice she only took 1 line from the entire song (That's what I heard when I listened to both songs), and that line is 'Hey hey, you you, I could be your Girlfriend'. Girlfriend Boyfriend For Boyfriend, click the Play button under Listen. What do you think? I really think it's only the 1 line, but I guess the band is greedy. Discuss. Note: Sorry if this is already a thread. And if I can't post the links, remove them. |

Just reminds me of Gwen Stefani's "If I Were a Rich Girl" song.. (though I assume she probably paid royalties on the Fiddler on a Roof song). I guess it sounds similar. Either way, who cares. I don't think it's sue-worthy though. But I wouldn't mind seeing Avril Lavigne lose money. |
