i think it's in the bill of rights that you can't pull some on from thier house to fight in a war.

Can't see Iran putting up much of a fight. Despite what some people might think, they wont do enough damage to require them to start forcing people to go to war.

A draft is possible but not likely. Recruiting numbers are up and we actually have too big of a navy. Instead of 4 year contracts some sailors are being let go after two years.

...

You do realize just how ridiculous your statement is, right?

The government most definitely can "pull you from your house to fight in a war." In the situation of a draft, if you don't go they can throw you in jail. All you can do to avoid the draft is flee the country. Either that or find some reason that prevents you from being fit to fight. I have asthma, if there's ever a draft I may or may not be "required" to go. Depends on the "severity" of the need for soldiers.

Nevertheless, I don't believe that a need for a draft will develop. I believe that the American people finally realize that we have no need to be there and thus we will, though it may very well take some time, tend to matters other than ridiculous wars over oil.

Maybe I'm just being hopeful, though.

its that the govt can't station soldiers in your house at any time.

There won't be a draft. The government doesnt want another Vietnam

Most likly, after the Bush administration the war will start to dimish. If it doesnt, the chances of Congress allowing the draft to be reinstated are very slim. So, no worries..and if there is..then i wont be drafted :D because of my knees i cant pass a basic military physical :D

Yeah, and all the things Kyle said.

I don't think I could be drafted anyway, I have asthma (but I was reading a navy pamphlet and saw that I could still have passed the basic requirements: note the word 'basic' o-o).

Also, you can say that it is against your religious beliefs to kill, and you find it really morally wrong.

We aren't even losing near the amount of soldiers that would require a draft. People overhype every death so much that you would think that for every fatality, 100 people died.

But that would be lying XD

I actually think it would be a good experience for me to be in the military, but I don't know if my body could handle it. Think of it. Taliban shooting at me...running...must...reach...for...inhaler....*boom* o-o
