What do you think?

The rhythm, the hidden meaning behind the lyrics, the "speed" of the song, whatever it is.

Personally I like songs with little to no vocals, because music means the sound of instruments playing simultaneously, instead of hearing some lead vocal's voice overwhelm the others.

Although you make a good point, I have to disagree with you. Lyrics are the most important part of a song, with lyrics you know what the song is about because many people write songs based on life experiences or whatever.

To sing a song

But I too like to hear good rhythm and tempo in a song.

Normally with rock music, a good guitar riff is a key part IMO. But sometimes the lyrics are so meaningful I just fall in love with the song (An example is The Fray - How To Save A Life)

An original sound. Whether that be instrumental or vocal, that's what'll grab my attention over anything else.

Deep meaning to the lyrics. Also understandable words and pleasant music. Great lyrics are nothing if the person is just screaming or the guitar overpowers everything...
