Pretty much, this guy harassed, stalked, and killed another player's wife in the game (for no reason I guess). He then gives out his address and says that the guy wasn't man enough to come meet him in real life. Later, some guys came into his house and beat him and his entertainment center with clubs. Your thoughts?

Seen this story posted on many other forums and it's most likely false, firstly you can only kill the opposing faction in WoW, and the two can't talk to each other. If your standing next to someone of the opposing faction and they say something it just comes out as 'gdf drttuytry' or something like that. So it would be impossible to give out any information about yourself or where you lived and secondly if by chance this guy was in the same IRC channel or something as the people he was ganking would you really give out your exact address? To someone you'd most likely just seriously aggravated? It doesn't add up.

If it did happen well the guy who's house got smashed was stupid enough to deserve it.

And also, who is dumb enough to give out their actual address to anyone online? Who knows who could actually be playing on a character?

Sounds like bunch of bull crap to me.

And honestly what kind of ignorant idiotic fool would EVER tell their real life address in MMORPG even the threat doesn't seem realistic.

People just don't need to think of "MMORPG"s as highly as they do right now... People think that if you get called a "noob", that you've been insulted in real life.

If this person was killing a person's charicter on a VIDEOGAME (If it was offencive to the women about him killing her over and over, she should've told the person to "Please stop!" instead of "Go get some of your friends and go beat the living crud out of this guy!"...), she still should'nt have gotten so angry over a videogame.
