http://gamerscoreblog.com/team/archive/ ... 40575.aspx Hm. Dunno how i feel about this myself. I am freaking hooked on trying to unlock them all though, it's bloody weird but it just makes me want to carry on, go that extra length. Hell i'm even going for the 10k kills award on gears..which is insane. Got just under 1k kills already though. ![]() I think it'll encourage developers to update the games and give downloads for them more often, which is always good. I loved getting the two new maps for gears for free a few weeks back and look out for more updates for all games i own, really makes you feel like you're getting value for your money. Rumor has it MS plans to turn the GS into a sort of currency for real life stuff inthe future. Which would be really cool, just being able to get small rewards for playing these games to their fullest. ![]() edit: Dunno why i put this in the sandbox, it's better suited here as it has discussion value. |

I'm obsessed on unlocking all the Viva Pinata and Gears achievements As for Quote: All regular disc-based games MUST have 1,000 Gamerscore in the base game. This means that any consumer who buys a retail game will have the opportunity to unlock the full 1,000 Gamerscore without having to pay for any add-on content. Note that a publisher may decide to deliver a portion of this Gamerscore via add-on content, but the add-on content will always be free to the consumer.
It will just make it easier to get your gamerscore higher with less effort |

You can unlock almost all of the elder scrolls achievements just by playing through the game normally, same with viva pinata. There easier ones, compared to a game like Gears where most are based through multilayer. It all varies really. BTW: Crackdown looks flippin' sweet I was looking into getting CrackDown so i downloaded the Demo (god i love the abilitie to get these demos on xbox live, it saves me so much cash. XD) and it felt so repetitive, seemed like a watered down version of GTA to me really. But yeah, i'd love it if we could use our GP for something in the future, lets hope something comes of it. |

![]() There's two groups of people on live. 1) The ones that don't care about GP and think everyone who likes getting them is a no lifer. XD 2)Those that enjoy getting them, some do it for their ego like the higher their GP the bigger their *****. Others, like me simply love the challenge. It reminds me of my early days of rs when i used to set myself a challenge and felt such a sense of achievment when i did it. GamerPoints has brought that back and i honestly cannot put a game down till i've unlocked them all, i have no idea why..i just love being challenged in so many creative ways. Just got the Curb Stomp award in Gears as well, almost got the Headshot award and i'm fairly confident i'm close to the longshot and boomshot awards to. ![]() Also on about 1.2k kills now, only another 8.8k kills to go for hte 10k kills achiev. ![]() |

I agree. GameScores have definitely changes the way I play. Before, when I played a video game, I would play it, beat it on only one difficultly, play it on Live, and then move on to another game. Now, I feel like I have to get every single achievement to actually finish the game. I think it would be cool though if they had a separate GameScore price in the Live Marketplace that you could buy things with depending on your GameScore. |

Speaking of Xbox 360 Gamescores, what's a good game to raise youre score fairly high. I was thinking of getting Oblivion soon, as well as Gears of War. |

Oblivion is good for getting your GameScore up if you get the hang of it. I finished all of it's achievements in a matter of a few weeks. I would highly recommend getting GoW too. Because besides from the fact it's downright amazing, it's also fairly easy to get at least 400-500 GamerPoints from it. |
