Scientists have developed a new method of cloaking, in which they can make objects appear invisible to radar. They hope to be able to implement the same technology such that they can bend visible light as well. http://www.crmbuyer.com/story/FzeR5Ni48 ... loak.xhtml Humanity really is moving into the future. Teleportation and invisibility, which were once thought completely impossible, may be possible in a few years. |

Yeah, I just did a report on that.. Complete Harry Potter like invisibility will definatly not be developed in a few years, or maby even ever. In a few years they may be able to do it in 3 demensions, because they can only do it in 2 currently, but I doubt they will find a way to develope it to work in all spectrums.. |

As with all technology, it's just a matter of time. |

I read this in the paper yesterday or the day before. I don't like the idea, if terrorist's, burglars, paedo's get hold of this cloak or whatever it is that will make them invisible. It will not make the world a better place |

They found out how to make things invisible with bending visible light, and in a few years, they say they will able to make tanks invisible, pointless when they find something that will counter it really. |

It will not make the world a better place The actualy device is incredibly heavy, so carrying it on your person would be impossible. It a actually has to go right around you, cloaking you and itself at the same time. It could be used for tanks and such, but not for people. |

Originally mobile phones were the size of breeze blocks, and ten times as heavy, and look at them now. As well as guitars, normally huge yeah? http://www.oddmusic.com/gallery/om22000.html Nah. |

I didn't read about them using it on tanks, it would probably be way more useful on buildings.. |

Teleportation, invisibility, such and such...A constant sign that the world is getting more and more advanced each day. I think that would be a good idea to acually be able to bend light and such but as someone mentioned, what if it falls into the wrong hands? Great power like that can be used for good or evil, hopefully good. |
