Post subject:  A dream...

Alright I'm going to try and keep this as short as possible.

About i don't know 9-10 years ago i used to get this re-occurring dream and it used to keep me up pretty much all night, it terrified me.

Every time i would wake up in my bed and there would just be this..person standing next to my bed i could never see his face because he always had his hood up. Every single time he would be standing Right next to my bed..staring right at me. Not moving at all.

Every time i would get out of bed and just run - run for the stairs and every single dam time i would trip. Fall down the stairs and land face down. And then once i rolled over..there he would be. Standing over me.

I've never seen the face and I've never seen what happens next because i would always wake up. It probably sounds stupid but that...guy came in my dreams a lot when i was young.

He went away must of been a good 8-9 years ago. But last night i had that exact same dream, come back again.

Except...i moved house a few months back. And there was one change. My house. The guy was no longer in my old house standing next to my bed. He was in the new one standing next to my bed.

This completely freaked me out. Having a dream that i hadn't had for years was bad enough. But the guy was in my new house the dream had changed to match where i was.

I've no IDEA if this is normal or not, thought I'd post here..there are people out there that know about these dreams and stuff...meh don't usually believe in that stuff but it spooked me that much i had to get some type of answer.

every morning is a new adventure. the man in your dream is the mystery, you cannot see his face because you never know what the day has in store for you. he is staring at you because he's staring into your past. notice how in your dream he appears in the new house meaning he is able cope with the present. the stairs is how you'll progress in the future but you shall have a bad turn of events which will send you back down. when you roll over he's staring down at you because you have already made a mistake, a mistake that you won't make again when you get back up.

well this is my opinion, not some dream reader person :P

the way i see it is that, this man, hooded stranger, is obviously occuring for a reason. In your dream, your scared, run, and fall.

Many ways to look at this, perhaps the hooded man is representing something in your life, as an obsticale, something that terrifies you, and everytime you try to run from it and hide, you trip, and fall down.

Maybe, something happened to you as a kid that you dont remember, and now its re-occuring. Something may has caused truama in your younger years, someone that either you mind has forgotton, your perhaps you chose to forgot.

Either way, i still think its something you are truely afraid of. I dont believe its a ghost or spiritual, you moved houses. But what was going on in your life when it first happened, when u started having the dreams back then. Then compare that with what has been happening in your life since you've had the dream. Something has triggered it to come back and terrify you.. Only things i can think of is an obstacle in life, or something has happened to you in the past.

hope this helps

I have had a scary dream too. I was lying on my stomach on a cold metal table. Much like the table at doctors offices. Well I couldnt see anything. Then I feel a sharp pain in my back like something cutting throught it. Then a warm sensation. Like blood...This dream kept me up for a few days. I can actually feel pain in many of my dreams. Its not fun.

When you go to bed tonight, draw a cross on your hand or arm. A big one. When your asleep in your dream, when you glance at your arm (if you do) your brain will notice their isnt anything there, and youll be vaugely semi concious for a little bit, but in dream mode. It's only worked for me once :(. It's class though, you can like .. control your dream kinda.

I had sort of the same thing, I don't dream it anymore though. It was that every corner I looked in there was this skeleton there, like not a dead person's skeleton but one that moves and talks. He would always say he was going to kill me slowly. I don't know where I got that from but it used to scare me when I was young.

When you have dreams like this it usually means that you're frightened of something, it doesn't have to be a person as such.. but it could be an event?. The dream to me represents insecurity...

The fact that the guy has no face would suggest that you dont want to admit to this fear / insecurity...and give it a voice as such. It's like.. if you give him a face... then you have to face him. If you recognise the face, you recogise the fear.. hense why it isn't likely that you'll see it.

The dream would most likely have gone away when the fear went away in your subconcious....have you been discussing your past with anyone lately? or something's come up recently that hasn't been thought about in a long while?

You'd have seen the guy next to your bed because you think that this "fear" is affecting you personally...you're personal space as such. Heh... hope that helped? if not then heh... there's lots of different ways you can look at things.

can't the guy just represent the past, present, and future?

That guy in your dream reminds me of "The ghost of Christmas to come"
(From "A Chistmas Carol")
Could that be a clue?

Yeah but that's the point of dreams. They make you aware of feelings on a subconcious level.. so if you were aware you were scared of something...then you wouldn't really be having the dreams.

The guy followed you to your new house because on one level you don't feel you've got away from whatever it is that's the problem. The other thing is, if you do run...he catches you because you know that one day you will have to face it, even though you don't want to.

Heh.... my mother studies dream analysis...hense I do too lol
