I don't like digital stuff, I like having the physical copy of things.
Sure I have bought digital cd's before, say from Itunes, but if it's a cd I really love and must have, not only will I not buy a digital copy, nor will I buy it online and wait for the shipping..

No, if I really cherish it, I still go to the stores and buy it.

For example, few weeks ago I bought TLC's *20* album in the stores.
Could of bought on itunes easily, but it literally took me, 2 and half hours and 6 different stores visits to find a store that still had the cd in stock, as it was just released.

That..
Was..
Fun.

More fun then a 20 second click to purchase from a computer. My love for TLC made it worth it.
If it's a band who deserves to have their cd's physically bought, then I still do, what about you?

I like it so i get a nice looking box. Same reason why I sometimes get physical copies of games, but only new releases since Steam will always be cheaper (and patched!) afterwards.

Yes i prefer to own it not rent it. Only exception to the rule is steam and that's mostly made up of games that aren't on disc at all or stuff i already own on disc.

I personally like collecting vinyl records.

If I am getting music to put on my iPod? Noo I will just download the MP3.

Depends what/who it is. Usually if it's a band I really support I will buy a physical copy of the CD. A lot of bands I like have been producing Kickstarter type albums. Therefore, it usually comes with a physical CD upon release.

Anything else I'm usually fine with a digital download. I usually make sure the .mp3s are MINE though. None of this streaming and renting crap. Aka - I move all music to multiple externals to back my library up. It would probably be more devastating to me to lose all of my music than all of my documents.

I used to like getting the Mp3's off Itunes and to an extent still enjoy it.
The physical copies however are far superior in my opinion cause it not only helps support the band more than I tunes, but then you get that physical piece of art that was put together.
That time and effort to make it look fantastic! I don't think a digital book that comes with albums will ever beat that.

The one reason I tunes is what I use a lot of times now is because they offer the deluxe copies and I can't find those where I live.

I've done that with Blue October's latest album, I pledge them money to help them make the new album since they are independent band, doing this, I got my cd signed by all the band members.
Makes my 2nd signed band merch since I also have a hat signed by the members of the Red Jumpsuit Apparatus.

If you seriously have items signed by Tom DeLonge then I'm totally jealous.

For music, I only buy CDs of my favorite artists. For movies, I always buy hard copies. Same with games. Unless it is stored in a cloud like the UltraViolet that Sony has for movies, it is really risky to do digital only because if something were to happen to the hard drive, you could lose out on a lot of money. Unless it was pirated, which I don't condone. Back ups can help, but even those can get screwed up as well.

I think I spelt physical like twenty different ways and nobody called me out on my misspellings which makes me touched.
Don't know what happened that day.

I recently went to Best Buy and ended up buying Badfinger's greatest hits for like $15. But I wasn't there for that item, I've been trying to buy it for a few weeks on eBay.
I'm a big eBay shopper, for pretty much anything.
You can get some sweet deals there for cd's.

I bought a Louis XIV album for a dollar.
$1.
That's it.
