SO what was the #1 song on for the week you was born? And what was christmas #1 for the year you was born?

I was born 14th august 1988. The #1 song was;

...Just god. Christ all mighty.

Christmas #1 for 1988 was;

EDIT: Can't the chart from my country and too lazy to search. Went for USA or UK, can't remember lol.

You've gotten great songs. 1988 was about the last few years of good music (think it ended in ~1994 I believe.)

The number one song when I was born was number one for a while. It stayed number one for more than 10 weeks. However, I nearly killed myself when I discovered that Nirvana's Smells Like Teen Spirit almost made it (****, this is probably the worst song in history...WAWAWA I FEEL STOOPID AND CONTAGIOUS WARAHAHAHA ALBINO AWAWAWWA MOSQUITO AWAWAW YEAH!!)
Anyway, my ''birthday song'' was End Of The Road by Boyz II Men. Not something I knew before (that's rare!) but I got to say I like it well enough.
Bottom line: I'm glad it's my b-day song.

For Christmas...um. Again, a song that stayed number one for a long time. From Nov 22nd 1992 to Fev 27th 1993. However, I find it kinda odd because Christmas is about happiness, sharing, love, etc. and the number one x-mas song was about divorce lol.
It was I Will Always Love You by Whitney Houston.
Really good song with powerful vocals and tons of emotions. Guess there was still a few good songs left in 1992.

For Canadians, I found this government website that has the top singles in Canada archived. For some reason, you have to enter a few months earlier than what date you actually want to appear.

Top single on my birthday was: Don't Worry Be Happy by Bobby McFerrin. I think I prefer the top Canadian content single on that week instead: Voodoo Thing by Colin James.

Christmas 1988 was Look Away by Chicago. This time period seems to be missing from the website, but I then found this section on wikipedia which is quite a bit easier to use than the government website. Can't find any other sites for listing top music that is considered Canadian content unfortunately.

Much prefer Roger the alien singing it.

XMAS.

Random to add Christmas... but my old friend's favorite group, sure he'd get a kick out of this.
