Mr. Lif does a really good song about the American Dream too, it's really thoughtful. That's the type of Hip-Hop I like the best.

Spoiler for a note:

I don't think either of these contain swearing, but if they do, I'm sorry for corrupting your minds. XD

Another good song I like is Delinquent Habits' "House of the Rising Drum".

That type of stuff. :P

You know what's funny? I used to rot my mind for hours on that Tony Hawk Game. Beat it many times busting 1m point combos...

I never knew it.. But I have been discovering that I am finding music I like that was also on that game. Such as Aesop Rock "Labor"

And "Non Compos Mentis" by Haiku d'Etat ! (Which consists of Abstract Rude, Aceyalone, and Myka 9)

Amazing isn't it?

Is there a difference between Rap and HipHop?
to me hip-hop is pansy rap.

I like some Rap not really Hip-Hop though.

Not surprising to me at all, I've found many of my favourite bands and songs through the Tony Hawk games, and most of the rap songs that I like come from that series! It opened up a different side of rap to me, since my brother also liked rap, but all the swearing generic gangsta stuff I didn't really get into - deep stuff that makes you think is definitely the way to go.

Hip hop is yukky. I'm not allowed to listen to it because of it's massive swearing. :)

Thats why there is censored versions. Also, if you find good rap that isn't derogatory the swear words usually aren't either.

I find it ironic that you say hip hop/rap is yukky b/c of the swear words, but then your sig is one of you runewire posts which happends to contain **** (the F word for those of you w/ the censor)
