| Post subject: | Why do you listen to music? |
Everybody listens to music nowadays, and everyone has different tastes. People get praised and/or abused for their music tastes, but music generally makes us who we are. But why do you listen to music? I listen to music because it is something to do, events such as gigs are very fun and so are music based games. It can help me to burst out with energy, relax and sometimes it even helps me sleep. I listen to a wide range of music so it all helps me to accomplish certain things. |

Most of the time I listen to it for enjoyment and as you say going to gigs and playing music games, adds to that enjoyment. Occasionally though I listen to music to surpress feelings. If I'm feeling a bit down or a little bit annoyed, I'll put on something that is quite rocky but when I feel like that screamo makes those feelings worse. On the flipside, when I'm feeling fine or happy, I really enjoy listening to screamo for some reason

I listen to music because keeps me entertained when I run play runescape and oher games and things. I don't really know why people are critisized for the music they listen to because like u said everyone has their own tastes. I personally will listen to any kind of music except soul ja boy. This guy drives me nuts! |

It's hard to explain, I listen music because I enjoy it while I listen it to be ''in my world'' at the same time. Sometimes it also helps me to calm down and vent off. Sometimes to remember things/events. Music has multiple reasons to be listened for me. |

I listen to music because constantly hearing me typing away can get irritating at times. Also, if I'm annoyed or mad, music is a nice outlet to go to. I play the piano too, so I guess I kind of have to listen to music as well. |

I listen to music primarily for lyrics. I cannot enjoy a song that has bad lyrics (or lyrics you can't understand), no matter how good it sounds. I listen to music to help me relax, or to pump me up, just depends on what kind of mood I'm in. There's a good song for every mood. |

I only Listen to " Oldies but Goodies " And I listen to music because if I am ever in a bad mood the relaxing sounds of music cheers me up. I love singing it, writing it, Playing it, dreaming it. lol Just whenever I listen.to it, I just get in a good mood. I can't live without it. |

i listen to music to get me excited just about every song i listen to gets me ready to go or to do something |

A lot of pop and oldies. Mostly oldies now. Don't like country, rap, metal, etc. Everything else is in between.
