To celebrate our continued success in the war against bots, we’re running a surprise members’ bonus weekend, with double loot in many surface-world dungeons as well as with double Dungeoneering XP and tokens.

The event will run from Saturday 12th November 00:00 GMT to Monday 14th November 23:59 GMT, during which time all you spelunker-savants and Dungeoneering dervishes will enjoy the following benefits:

Double loot in the following dungeons:
God Wars Dungeon (including Nex)
Barrows
Chaos Tunnels
Stronghold of Security
Forinthry Dungeon
Double XP in Dungeoneering and double token rewards for dungeon completion.

Both of these benefits apply to RuneScape members only.

These events are the sort of events that we’ve been hoping to run for some time, but they wouldn’t have been feasible prior to the recent bot-busting initiatives that have taken place. We’d love to run more events like this in the future, but we need you to remain vigilant: keep an eye out, use the reporting functions to let us know if you encounter any remaining botting activity, and enjoy the game as it was meant to be played – bot free!

Enjoy an amazing weekend of dungeon delving and boss bashing. Best of luck, and we hope that when you step blinking into the sunlight once more you’re saddled with swathes of cool swag!

I think it's cool that Jagex does this. Changes things up and gives a little extra incentive to people to do certain things. There's no harm in a little bonus here and there so long as it's short, without too much warning, and non-threatening to the game's integrity. A little extra loot won't hurt anyone.

I'm not doing dung, so not getting bonus xp, just doing chaos tunnel combat for the double drops, rocking right now in Nechryals, ton's of double seed drops and crimson charms. :)

I tosses up between giving it 1 (which I did) and 3 or 4

It got 1 because it is only for mini-games / activities I don't do.

Considering 3 to 4 was because they did it at such short notice. The 2 weeks notice of previous bonus weekends allowed the merchers to manipulate the market. Now looking for these snap bonus sessions to be in the week too, and maybe not announced till actually good to go.

Yet once again a double xp event is here and I have no desire to take advantage of it with dungeoneering. I'm almost at 90 dung with 99 percent of the xp coming from pengs, tears, troll invasion, effigies, etc. Only a few thousand xp from doing actual dungeoneering. Why can't I motivate myself to do dung and just get that last skill over with, lol.

I prefer the Hati paws type event where you can use the bonus in your own time.

I agree. This bonus exp/loot/anything is quite...overused.

Got a double virtus robe leg split from nex, and 2 corrupt vesta longswords from revenants.

While the bonuses would have been nice- and I preferred the 'surprise' rather then the ability for people to plan ahead too much, I chose to focus on my current goals. Perhaps sometime they will have somethin I like to do better as a 'bonus' in the future.
