In your adventures you may have heard of an unusual gathering in the north - a gathering of powerful and dangerous creatures called the Mahjarrat. Ali the Wise has received news from one of his contacts of a tunnel underneath the area where the Mahjarrat are supposedly gathering. It’s not a natural cave, either: someone deliberately made it. But who? What connection did they have to the Mahjarrat now gathering above? Have they left any clues behind? Some exploring may be in order!

This quest is a continuation of the Mysteries of the Mahjarrat quest series. It’s also a sequel to a previous quest I wrote - Defender of Varrock. I’m glad that I got to expand on some of the themes I started in the previous Arrav-based quest. There is more to come, though…

I really liked the storyline and the rewards were pretty decent.

high requirements for a quest with nothing but exp rewards. the storyline redeems that, though i like to see item rewards from quests as a sign you completed it. not good enough of a quest to get me to come back. still on schedule for december 16th to "remember." I DO like that they're continuing storlyines that ahve to do with the lore of the game, rather than adding "I NEED HELP WITH THIS DWARF THATS FARTING ON MY ONIONS AND SPOILING THEM" like we often see. With mechscape coming soon and funorb takin a margin of jagex's focus, i'm hoping they start movin forward and moving towards getting the climactic finish of storylines in runescape.
Spoiler for quest rage:

In most mmos the questline is set in stone and there's a path that must be followed. updates focus more on game functions like balancing the game and adding things to do, while runescape does that while continuing the story and expanding that one or two times a month. I know finishing quests off seems like its against my love of them, but for the sake of being able to pay full attention to making sure people enjoy the game, they really should finish the main storyline of the game so its just little nit-picky things and cultural expanding quests to do. And at that it shouldn't be some weak sauce stuff that can be done with current standards, rather something hardcore like requiring unboosted 85 all skills, or close to it. something that really only the best of the best can accomplish, with a reward that proves you are indeed the best of the best, like an untradable gear with the absolute best stats in the game overall, or something that looks absolutely incredible, etc. this ****'s off topic, don't bother raging back at me
Spoiler for member_rage:

for those that don't know me, i only play one or two months out of each year to play the updates before i stop to play games that don't suck. i raged last time after i ran out of new things to do and had nothing left to do for the last week of members. i still play a lowbie every so often or train free skills for an hour or so a week when i'm at the pit of boredom, but untill i know i can be entertained for at least 3/4 of a month, i won't pay for this game :-D

Found the mining part irritating, but the story was great, so was the Mission impossible idea. 4/5

Seems a hefty set of requirements for such a short quest, just got through the tunnel, will continue with it when I get time tomorrow. Looking forward to the mission impossible part!
