A mystical portal has opened in Edgeville, leading to the lands beyond Tirannwn’s western shore. Any players who venture through will find themselves at the site of Soul Wars - a new, members-only minigame involving fierce combat, territory control and your Slayer skills!
If you’ve played Castle Wars you will be on familiar ground with Soul Wars. Like Castle Wars it’s a quick, fun, team game that you can play on any server…but it’s three times the size! Soul Wars is also a safe game, so you don’t have to worry about losing any of your favourite gear. Once you enter the Soul Wars area you will meet Nomad, who controls the battlefield with his unfortunate minion Zimberfizz. He will show you the workings of the Soul Obelisk, how the giant avatars function, and the basics of territorial domination. Being something of an adventurer, Nomad is prepared to give rewards to players who get involved: sharing his charm collection, offering combat and Slayer training, and even bringing back the souls of Slayer creatures you may have found on your travels. Mod Rathe and Mod Chris L RuneScape Developers Summary: Where to start Soul Wars: Enter the portal in Edgeville and speak to Nomad. Requirements: None, but decent combat levels and Slayer are recommended! In other news… You can now collect sand from Bert at the same time every day. The 24-hour restriction has been shortened slightly so you won't have to go later each time The rewards for the Seers’ Village Achievement Diary have been tweaked and increased; for details, please read the original article. The hard reward for the Karamja Achievement Diary will now grant free access (when worn) to the Brimhaven Dungeon. Additions have been made to Quick Chat that should make it easier for players to converse with Player Moderators, and ask any questions they may have. We have made changes to the game engine behaviour responsible for deciding in which order players, familiars and NPCs are drawn in. Other players or NPCs will now no longer be hidden by bigger creatures (2x2 squares or above). Additionally, small NPCs and familiars (1x1 squares) will now take priority over other players, except in PvP worlds and in combat-based minigames. |

I can't really vote on this since I'm not a member, but it sounds ok. Not a huge fan of minigames, but the ones that Jagex has produced have been pretty cool so far. |

I've heard a 50/50 of good and bad comments on this game. How are the reward for it and how hard is it to get points? |

Based on comments I have heard and the one game I played of it. It seems like a copy off of Castle Wars. Also, wow. The rewards take so long to get. |

The game was okay, wasn't good and wasn't bad. Played it once and it was pretty good. I couldn't tell who was attacking me though since everyone was standing on the same spot, and too many ancient mages. I still find Castle Wars better than other minigames. |

I myself have not played it but I asked one of my best friends who went and played it, he thinks it was ok. ( seems like everybody thinks that) The rewards are ok. It is like Castle Wars but much bigger it seems. It's cool that it's safe and If My main was a member I try it out but can't play yet with my Skiller |

Interesting concept but giving xp for slayer and prayer is something I'd like to see dropped. You may as well give up doing actual slayer and camp in this game. Sad really. As for summoning that seems reasonable - you'd actually get more charms monster slaying. Not the worst game but not far off. |

I hate how people are complaining that the rewards are too small.. they don't understand that minigames aren't meant to be complete replacements for actually training the skills. |

One of my friend got the abyssal minion as pet after receiving its head and he asked it for a whip since he saved it. Then the minion actually gave it to him but when he tried to equip it, it turned to dust and disappeared. I'm not sure if this is true or not, but the way my friend says it, its pretty true. Someone try it out please! ![]() |

Meh. It's really a copy of Castle wars where you get little tokens and you have to have a lot to get some good items. 3/5 from me. |

I personally think its pretty cool. its kinda relaxing and its a very good idea to train there (without even using the points). fun minigame, but i have a question.. is the xp claimed on points alone alot (not including any xp obtained from in-game affairs). 5/5 in the fun factor department =]. |

It was fun the first few times then it gets boring as others have said its almost identical to Castle Wars and the rewards are pretty good. 4/5 |
