 Post subject: Maybe archeology could make Crandore more useful?

I always feel like this supposedly once huge island with many treasures never got me the feeling of ruins and ancient towns.

Maybe now with archeology the island of crandore should get its rework done ?

I understand the lands have been burnt to the ground by Elvarg. But weren't there caves, fortresses , that could have resisted ?
