| Post subject: | How did you train divination? |
I'm looking for any and all tips on divination training. I did the initial divination tutor and achieved level 10 but kind of lost on what to do next? What is the point of this skill besides just collect orbs? |

It's really not that hard. It's essentially fishing or woodcutting with the bank a few steps away. Every 10 levels or so the wisp colony that you should be at changes. There you just harvest the wisps for energy and memories then dump them into the rift. I always convert energy and memories since that's fast experience. For even faster experience people buy energy off the exchange but that really isn't needed. You can find the wisp colonies for each level on the in game skill guide. As for the use of Divination, I've found the divine locations most useful. They give resources and experience for a handful of skills, good experience too. You can also make little devices that allow you to send more items to the bank, good for fishing. The highest level one effectively doubles the capacity of your inventory. You can also transmute items into more valuable items. Let's say you need Rune ore but only have Adamantite or you can transmute a number of Adamantite ore straight into Rune ore. It's really not recommended for massive amounts since it's slow but it's good for the one off need. Also Divination energy will be used at some point in 2015 for the Inventor skill. Divination being the primary method of gathering and Inventor being the finishing skill. Finally, don't buy into the garbage that some people like to spread about this skill. When it came out it was billed as rather useless but as time's gone on it's proven to be nothing but useful. It also has a nice lore component behind it too if you have done The World Wakes. |

I'd buy the energy as you don't need to buy that much of each type. Also don't forget to use some when you get high enough to go onto a new type to gain the 'Boon of Energy' as this gives and increased xp rate that's fo keeps/ Like Shane I'm finding some of Divination really useful. |

I enjoyed training divination. Unfortunately, they released the elder energy after I hit 99. There are several useful things you can make, such as porters for auto banking and the divination skill plots. I make the hunter one each day. It is a pretty easy skill to train, but I personally didn't use any of my energy to make training fatster... I have saved it for when the new Inventor skill comes out. The main thing to remember is to just have fun... don't grind if you don't like it; do it in small increments. |
