Prestige in the works for Runescape

As long as the original highscores stay the same I don't have a problem with it. I'm not interested in redoing 99's right now but who knows.

I see why people don't like this idea. It changes the idea of where the game is really going in the future. I don't feel however that this update would hurt anything in the end.
What I am concerned about is if Jagex decided to add in game significances of prestige like max capes with extra features showing that its a high grade cape. For that reason, I voted no.

Allow me to think out-loud for a second....

If (that's a big if) this is implemented in game...
...would it be accessed by members only? I mean, they are the only ones able to be seen on the high scores any way.
...would "undoing" prestige to make that higher level available to make something ... would the exp gained from that give you xp toward your prestige?
..how would this work with combat and wearing armor and doing your combat level?
