Post subject:  Should I...

As of lately the game has felt to be too much of a grind. The levels are so far apart for a small return on investment. There's only a couple things left that I want to do that I feel of value to myself. As an example, I got 85 Dungeoneering recently and have no desire to take it further. I could just to have the number (90) or a chaotic but I honestly don't feel as though I will enjoy that process so I won't do that. So now comes the question...

Open a second account and go for 99 Farming again? I would do it through the process of obtaining my own seeds and not fund raising to just simply buy them on the exchange.

And before anyone asks, doing this on the 2007 servers is not an option.

Because that's not real
He wants farming, *today's* farming

From the ground up, no help.

And not on 2007 because I don't want to go back to that. Compared to what we have now in terms of technology behind the game (HD and later HTML5) and nice little advancements (make-x and EoC action bar) it makes all the difference, just a couple of the many reasons I have.

I think it's a great idea. You could try to take it a step further and try doing what MM9 does and be completely self sufficient.

I agree with this :D
If you have the time to go for 99 farming, you probably can manage to leap to this next step too.
It will (or at least should) completely change how you play the game, and it suddenly feels knew and exciting.
And hey, if you don't enjoy it you can always swap to traditional gameplay :P

If it gives you something you'll enjoy doing, why not.

If you find the game a grind and farming is something you love, then go for it. In a few months, you may find yourself recharged and go back to your old account and once again enjoy it. But why not wait until RS3 comes out and do it there? And to do it self sufficient would be a great challenge.
ENJOY!!!

I say go for it. You don't really have anything to lose.

Although personally, I would rather keep all of my accounts together so all of my EXP/accomplishments are in one place. But that's just me.

Go for it!

You should totally go for it Shane! The idea of doing it all from the ground up and incorporating the herblore into it would make for great profit!! Might i suggest maxing out combat first? Or does that go along with skills taking too much time for them to enjoyable?

If that is the part of the game that you most enjoy, definately do it again with a new account... just for the enjoyment factor. I too miss training some of the skills that I now have 99 in. But, for me, I know that there is so much more in this game I have yet to experience. (And, Jagex keeps adding more and more to the game all the time.) Who knows, I might find something else I really like. But for you Shane, definitely go for another 99 farming. On a side note, what if Jagex decides some day to raise all skills to a max of 120? The time you spend getting the second 99 farming on another account could have been spent on your main account, getting you closer to 120 farming. That's just a wild thought, not that I have any confidence that it might happen.
