I personally have no problem with it, i played runescape for many years, change is vital to a game. I been on beta few times and i thought the combat system is pretty cool with dungeoneering improved for soloers.

The skilling system also in beta is very well thought and a good progress from the current game now.

What do you think about it? i mean most people say bad because it turning in world of warcraft, but we are playing runescape and it really no like it. Anyway you are all entitled to own opinion :D feel free to express!!

I'm kinda liking EoC now, after having a few tries at the new system. The only problem I have is the massive market shift that we're seeing at the moment.

Overall, decent update :D

I haven't tried EOC, but it's the way Jagex are going, so we either embrace it and enjoy it, or stop playing. I mainly skill, but I do enjoy Slayer. I will wait until it is released and make my judgement then. Unfortunately, people don't like change and for some reason immediately attack anything new. Most of the players who are screaming about it, don't seem to have anything constructive to say. While there have been several issues I have read about, it was released as a Beta for a reason... to try and figure out those issues before it was released into the main game. The only concern I have is that I have heard that all areas are going to be multiway combat. If I have to fight against level 138's for slayer monsters, it's going to kill the enjoyment I get from Slayer. I will reserve judgement until after the release. And if it is going to make my soloing Dungeoneering faster, I can't help but be happy about that.

Happy Runescaping

Is it faster soloing dungeoneering? Haven't tried Dungy in it yet.

I'm looking forward to what builds people will create for the game.

Honestly the combat system was long overdue for a rework. I actually like the EoC. In time all those eoc 'haters' will come to they're senses and realize it was for the better of the game. With all of the advances runescape is taking no one could honestly expect the combat system to stay the same. It's all about accepting the change and learning to adapt to a new system..Which isn't that difficult.

The only thing I dislike is the 50% prayers. I'm not into 'button mashin' as my keyboard is already in need of replacing but I am happy I can still enjoy the things I loved :)

I am in favour of prayer only blocking 50% of the damage. It makes the game more exciting and makes you actually play the game, not just AFK combat skills. I never understood why praying made you virtually immortal in the first place. I am enjoying the new combat after reading all the negativity on it. I just hope Jagex now works on some new good quests, rather than just rehashing the old ones. Also, i can't wait until the construction update.. its even more boring than agility training the way it is!! Another thing I like about the game is the fact that the dragon crossbow has to be made by the player and isn't sold. Makes fletching worthwhile now. Hopefully there will be more updates like this in the future.

i was using my armadyl 2 hander since it is a slashing weapon (i thought it would be crush since it was so big), to slay daggonath.

OMG it was freaking EPIC!!!!!! all those aoe attacks and they being weak to slash made them all turn into goo.
