Post subject:  The end of the world?!
So, I missed the second Cryptic Clue Fest and the items that came from it. Now, I pride myself on having all the items i can possibly get from the events in the game and am splitting hairs over missing out on this one. I just can't believe I missed it. My question is: Will they offer this gear in the future? Apparently if you didn't get the magnifying lens the first time, you could get it this time. Will they always give all the gear when conducting Cryptic Clue Fests in the future? [-o< I'm really hoping so, cause (though stupid it may seem) I would hate to miss out on any gear I could possibly get, no matter what it was. :)

Knowing JAGeX, it's really probable that they will, but you can't be 100% sure. I also try to get all of the free gear I can. I even have the Yo-yo from waaaaaaay back when and the zombie head also from quite a while back. of course the best holiday event/free items was christmas 2005. The only holiday item i don't have is the cornucopia :(

I think they deleted all of the cornucopias out of the game after the event was over (I'm not sure about that though). If they do the same thing they did this year for the CCF, then they will give out the rewards from previous ones, too.

Not true because last time I checked, I still had mine. :D

I'm pretty sure they will offer it, but it's not 100% guaranteed at this point. I don't see any reason why not to, though.

As it stands, brand spanking new players can still get Holiday Event stuff from 2008 so of course you'll be able to get the CCF gear you missed when the next one comes. Jagex doesn't believe in letting older/veteran players revel in having special event items all to themselves unfortunately.

And I do still have my cornucopia. Diango has it.

I think its ridiculous that older players cant be special anymore. I mean i can walk around in a recent holiday event item and have new players as me what it is, but then next time that holiday rolls around they have the item too. they should make it so anyone who does the event when it comes out gets a normal holiday item and then a "year exclusive item" or just go back to the old days of "you snooze you lose"

With regards to cornucopias, anyone can get them (even a level 3). Just go kill some chickens for a while (or any bird, for that matter).

I never even did the cornucopia event but Diango has it for me lol
