It didn't drop very often for me and I've camped there for a good few days. Yeah I'd say 1/500 sounds right, or maybe I just wasn't lucky enough.

After a quick google search, it seems the whip drop rate is around 1/400 - 1/500. Can't say if it's true as I don't have enough slayer to kill abyssal demons yet. |

I'd lean towards a drop rate of about 1/500, i've gotten one but i do know from people that the drop rate isn't 1 in every 250, you'd see the price of whips be a lot lower if they were so common |

If 1/500 is the case, I don't see why so many people want to rush and get lvl 85 Slayer, I always thought it was somewhere around 1/250, Like you did. |

Many don't have the understanding that you shouldn't hope for a good drop like that. When im doing metallic dragons I don't hope for a visage. I just do it for the bones. These slayer drops are just a nice reward on the side  that's how I view them

Minimum 1 per task usually for me. Though I have haad my fair share of dry streaks too. It's all just random luck. |

I've only killed about 300 and had a grand total of zero whips  It goes without saying that this is in no way statistically significant.

My friend has never gotten a drop in 700+ kills. Bad luck much?
