Post subject:  Hardest/Easiest skill to get?

I have had discussions with many people and apparently, hardest = slayer/prayer, easiest = fletching/cooking?

What do you guys think?

Well, you can look at it many different ways. One could say that herblore/prayer is the easiest because once you have supplies you can get crazy fast xp. But then again, those are probably the most expensive skills in the game. But if I had to choose the easiest skill i'd probably say cooking or fletching. Both have a relatively high xp/hr rate and are extremely quick. As for the hardest skill... I would say undoubtedly Runecrafting is. Slayer isn't too bad as its not intensive and involves combat which is enjoyable,, for most. ;)

Like Riceay said (and posted first ;)), it all really depends. For one thing, if you are a member, almost every skill becomes 10-100 times easier. Aside from being a member, I would agree that slayer and prayer are two of the hardest skills to level. Runecrafting is also pretty difficult. Fletching, Cooking, and Firemaking are probably the easiest. That's my opinion.

Firemaking with Magic logs, Flame Gloves and Ring of Fire along with a Penance Master Horn = http://www.rsbandb.com/skill-of-the-month/4/2010 (first 2 days). I have 99 Cooking, Fletching and Firemaking and they were all easy and fast 99, no more than like a week or two when I started my goal of 99 for those skills. Runecrafting is hardest by time, but if you bring money into it then Prayer, Herblore, those skills that require a lot of money to level last, or even level. :P

Indeed. If money was enough you could probably get 99 prayer in a day or two as well. Not so sure about herblore, but it's a skill I admire because of the difficulty brought by the huge amount of funds needed to max this skill.

Oh right, i completely forgot about runecrafting. It is indeed very difficult as well. I have a question. Im going for 99 woodcutting and lots of people are saying its as easy as cooking while others say it is still a rather respected skillcape even after the ivy update. Your opinions on the woodcutting skill?

I've recently gotten the woodcutting skillcape. It took me a long time to get doing solid Ivy so I dont think it's that easy. The majority of people that see the skillcape usually get pretty envious. :D Although I have been noticing alot more people with the skillcape.
