Post subject:  Runescape Machinima Contest Results
Hello Everyone,
Seeing as the machinima contest result has been out for a couple of days, with video number 7 (for those who don't remember , it was the commercial for Lumbridge). I for one was not impressed with it, but even though the general RS community has spoken, I would like to hear what you, the members of RSBANDB, thought of it and if you didn't like #7, which one did you like? My favorite ones were 2, 4 and 9, being the most like real ads and being the most amusing (in my opinion).

#2 by far, none of the other ones I really like, wish #2 could win, it was very well done.

The first Machinima contest was better than this one imo,my favourite was the camel dung commercial.

all of them are crap, ive watched other, better ones that didnt make it, i cant believe all 10 of those crappy works get 4000 p2p days.

Ya, Alex's should have been up there, it was much better than a lot of them.

Some were pretty nice. Number 2 was probably my favorite. Wasn't so impressed with all the other one's though.

yah, the camel dung one reminded me of the "incredible toy" infomercials that I'd see on tv as a little kid.

In terms of creativity I didn't find this competition to be the best. But in quality it's much better in my opinion.

I still don't understand how the Lumbridge video won. The voice acting was terrible and wasn't even funny...

My favourite video was probably Nº1- The teleporting system. I also liked the camel dung one and the Dwarf Multy Cannon.

Ya, teleporting was alright, same with the camel dung, but I didn't really like the Dwarf Multy Cannon one. I found the animation for it really bad so I didn't pick it, I was going off the quality more than what they were advertising.

#2 was also by far my favorite. The other one's didn't quite cut it for me. They either could have been improved or replaced by other better ones. But for sure, #2 was the best imo.

#2 Was my favorite as well, I didn't like the winner as I had trouble trying to hear him.

I liked #2 the best because it had great effects and was more artistic than the rest. However, in general they weren't as good as last time's.

I think the 30 second time limit was killer. It's hard to come up with a good video or advertisement in only 30 seconds. The time constraint hurt much of those videos I believe. There was potential in all of them, but only #2 and a few others seemed to be able to do a great job within the time allotted. That's just my opinion, though. :?
