What do you think the next skill will be?

Post subject:  What do you think the next skill will be?
I think it will be shapeshifting, like shane, or sailing. A bit more far fetched idea would we ghost hunting. What do YOU think? :P

I honestly don't know, I am kind of looking forward to the surprise. The fact that it is F2P as well slightly lessens my excitement.

ontopic: my hope is a creation skill... like crafting, smithing, etc. that way it drains some of the inflation.

Also possibly have the skill entirety untradeable items. well atleast like summoning where u have to kill something to get a untradeable drop and then get another part of the piece.. and then the result ends up being very useful but untradeable

Just hope that it will be as enjoyable for me as slayer was. But Jagex confirmed that it will not be sailing, but that doesn't mean it can't be something closely related. Seen some good threads on the forums about "pirating" and stuff like that

The problem is that pirating does not have enough behind it to be an actual skill. It really needs to be something that not only has a lot to it, but a lot to expand on as well.

The problem I always run into when considering the new skill is that something I think up as a new skill could always fit under an existing skill. I don't think it would be a stretch to say that Jagex has pretty much exhausted most skill ideas at this point. Right now, they'd either have to 1)make up something fictional like magic or summoning or 2) look very hard for something they or I might have overlooked. The real test behind considering new skills is whether it can already fit under a current skill. For example, when I first considered construction, I thought it was something that went under the crafting skill. Although this could be true, Jagex made the skill anyway with plenty of different things to use and ways to train than crafting. Anyways, if I had to take a stab in the dark at what the new skill might be, I couldn't say for sure. But, from looking at some of the occupations on a medieval site, I came up with a few possibilities.

-Gravedigging Skill
-Musician Skill
-Engraving Skill
-Jester Skill
-Sailing Skill
-Astrology Skill
-Spy Skill
-Healer/Physician Skill

That's the best I got. I bet the new one has to be related to one of them for sure. ;)

I think I mush repeat myself, in that I think it should be a healing/buffing skill (not that it actually would be) but in that it's something that I think is desperately needed. Either that or a stealth skill that would allow extensions of Agility, Thieving and combat.

Healing, Lunar or food or potions. Buffing, Lunar or potions. But maybe a new spell book to do those would be nice. But you never know with Jagex. Not that sure what the new skill will be, but if it's f2p, it should be a useful skill and hopefully not a money sink skill.

I don't think I would enjoy sailing if it even was a skill, it would be like walking, everyone would have 99, and there would be no joy in it.
