I think you can make lots of friends in the internet or even in real life.
Actually interenet games is for social, chat, etc. Then why would they even make it "online" .
Anyways, that my reason.

I quit in like 5 seconds. Well.. Quit the JUST RUNESCAPE games. Warcraft3 and Starcraft are both VERY good anti runescape addiction games. I still play runescape. And to answer your question, They play for fun. Isent fun whats it all about? |

I would say we play because we can not stop. kind of like an addiction. myself I have kind of weaved myself off of it. and now I have a life,a girlfriend and even yes a JOB. so I dont know if that awnsers your question at all. |

often i find i only play computer games when im bored, want to do something fun, or to relax myself. whenever i have like a million assignments i always play runescape then it relaxes me so im not so stressed and then i keep on working...its good...music calms me too lol. i dont think i could ever quit rune i love it too much...and i wanna get members so bad so theres another reason to stay lol |

the only thing keeping me coming back to runescape is friends. I have made some really good friends through runescape. Sure, it can be an addictive game, and sure it can easily get boring. But I have not much else to do. I find games boring if its just me playing against the computer. Its more fun when you have ppl to talk to, and challenge and so on. I used to play unreal tournament 99, i was in a clan and played it for 3 years str8, i never got bored because i had friends there. But i quit last year for my own reasons. But thats my story, if runescape was a single player game, i would never play it. Also, i have been bored of rs lately, mostly because im sick of all the scammers, hackers, losers, children that think they are better than everyone else. Those low lifes, ruin the game for the people who have a life, and who respect others. Still, im not gonna quit because of kids, or hackers, or low lifes.  **note: this is not directed at any single person, if you have a problem with my choice of words, then private msg me**

Well, I'm that kind of guy you would call - games maniac... I started playing pc games since 93 as I remember (on my beloved 486/DX2/66mhz - 4 ram). I'v played thousands games (many many thousands) and I always liked games where u make heroes very long time. In fact I never end games (or when i end them always reload from last save) like Might and magic and Wizardry or Fallout and so - I just continue advancing my heroe(s) more and more - thats what I like - to make gods from my heroes... So RS really is a game that suits me very well. And dont get me wrong - I have very good life - nice family, nice wife, ok job and so... -Zaks |

My reason is almost the same as everyone elses: it's relaxing, fun, and you meet people on it. If RS was just a PC game where you couldn't interact with anyone, sure, it'd get boring fast. But for now, I love it. |

Wee one reason I play RS is to get an outfit I saw a guy wearing. Once I saw it I felt in love with it. Its Blk (t) plate and legs D med D sqauare D long red boots and gloves a red cape (zammy cape or frenny) |
