I am sure everyone has seen this ad out there. Has anyone ever read it?

I actually got it because I was curious about it, and lemme tell ya. IT IS **** lol

My friend sent me a chapter out of it attached to an e-mail. It's aload of rubbish. I totally agree with you. Pointless.

Yeah, you shouldn't expect anything out of those. It's all common knowledge or something that can be found for free (and better) on fansites.
I really doubt they have some huge secret that nobody knows and been actually able to keep it secret even though they're selling it to whoever. And I doubt they're even "allowed" to sell such a thing, without Jagex's consent and all.

My friend's friend actually bought it in 2005, sent it to my friend, and he thought it was great and then sent it to me (They're (or at least this one was) pdfs). Proved I was right, and already knew all of the methods.
But it's not like the methods don't work or don't work well. It's just kind of like selling someone instructions to open a door- may be good instructions, but who doesn't know how. (Hurray for well thought out simile :oops:)

Yeah I've seen it. Never bothered to buy it as I can get millions whenver I feel like it. :) I also know of some other RS guide that is complete rubbish.

Every year (in elementary school), they had a Scholastic sale and there was the OFFICIAL RuneScape Guide. So I'm like: "Hmm... I thought Jagex said the Knowledge Base was the official guide."
So my friend bought it. A few weeks later, he gets it and show its to me. There were like pages with the levels of what you need to woodcut oaks, willows, etc. It was pretty much a small little booklet that you could find in the KB.

Heh, nice analogy, and perfect description.

Any methods of making money in RS are known by more than the few people who put together the book. Some methods less than others, sure. But if you spend time on all the RS fansites, you will be aware of just about any method (without giving anyone money).

lol me and my friend bought that. All it gave us was the stats of free world ******* *** monsters. It was a complete rip off. 5 dollars gone =/ **** you runescape.

The best guid i ever saw was buying meat for 7gp and selling it in the GE for 72 gp i made 200k wow 200k thats not that much.
also it took foreever.
