Post subject:  Back when you were lvl 3..
Some of the most memorable Runescape memories that have stuck with me over the years are from when I first started playing.
Feel free to share some of your experiences as a noob too =]

I remember I found 756 coins on the ground by Lumbridge Castle and I was ecstatic! A few of my friends from school just started playing also, so I was bragging to them about finding 756 coins on the ground and they were jealous of me! I felt so high and mighty, and shared the money with them. I was actually considered "rich" in my and their eyes. XD

I also remember some guy gave me full iron that he had smithed for free and I couldn't stop saying thank you to him! He gave me an iron 2h also, and I kept trying to equip the 2h and the shield at the same time and I got so frustrated! 10 minutes of clicking later I realized 2h meant I use 2 hands to wield it XD

My first holiday event was the easter event of 2005. I had never seen so many people in one place talking, etc, and I lost my friend in the madness. I still love that rubber chicken.

I remember one time I was lost and some guy came up to me and told me he'd show me where to go. And I followed him right into the wilderness and he tried to kill me! XD I got away, but I couldn't believe that guy! I didn't have anything good on me anyway.

I miss it when little things on Runescape made me happy :)

When I first started playing, I had no idea what to do. This level 25 or so came up to me in Lumbridge and offered me full Iron and some money. After that, whenever I got lost (which happened a lot: I wandered all the way to Port Sarim on my second day) I would always message him and he'd come find me ad lead me back to Varrock. We were actually really good friends for a long time, but he quit eventually, and I haven't seen him since.

When I started playing, I had no idea that there was a Strength and Defence level and how to train it. So I was on the same combat mode all the time killing chickens. So I got higher in Attack and went to kill cows. And eventually I died. I didn't think anything of it because i didn't think I lost anything. But really I lost all the stuff from Tutorial island lol.

Another time was when I thought RS was a dynamic world. Like one day I could find Varrock, but the next day I couldn't. This was because there was two entrances to Varrock on the southern sides. One day I went passed the eastern side, not able to find Varrock. So I keep going north and north and north. Eventually I get to some kind of demon (can't remember if it was lesser or greater. I was dead before I could really identify it.)

Another time was how I actually felt about Varrock. I meant how the minimap looked like. On the bottom of Varrock, there is several tiny rubble walls thing ma bobs walls and I thought that interesting for some reason. Then I found the coffee shop icon. Oh wait thats the prayer altar icon...

Those are all me as lvl 3. I have one more experience that is less -level 3 like.

ME STARTING MEMBERS RS


So once I was accepted to be in members, I got in a members world, and was in Varrock. Heading west to Taverly. Some guy came up to me and showed me a few items such as some herbs and one item I had no clue what it was. The name of it was A RING OF RETURNING. He wanted my full rune for it. So I told him: "I have no idea how much this stuff really is. I just became members so, sorry."

So I went onto my jolly old way. I regret never accepting that now. I could of made a great investment.

When I first played, I didn't even know how to talk, lol. Death7178 wasn't my first account. My first account was Six_Stars5. When I went close to the wilderness, I saw people with skulls and I was running away, yelling "Somebody help, someone with a skull and crossbones is following me!". :P

Then I unknowingly gave my password out to someone, and he changed it so I couldn't log on. :cry: Then, however, I made Death7178, and he is my main now.

I first died by a ghost in Draynor Manor. Luckily, I only lost newbie items. I was about level 12.

When I got 10k on death, I was like "W00t I'm rich I got 10k!". Once, I got to play in school. My friend was like "OMG you have a black sq?!!?". :lol:

One year after I made death, I found out that you can recover a lost password. Then, I got Six_Stars5 back. :mrgreen:

Fortunately, the guy who took my account did not do anything to it. That same day, someone gave me full Mithril for free. :)

Now, I am big and strong. (well, kind of :P ).

EDIT: Kirby, I knew how to train Attack and Defense, but not Strength. So, It was level 1 until I was about level 34, lol.
Those are my noob experiences.

I remember some random guy gave me 1k for free and I was like "wow!"

Then my RL friend met up with me and gave me 35k and a Rune Med and I was like WOW!!!

It's hard for me to remember most of the details ... I started playing RS before the year 2000 with classic I think. I basically did everything myself, made a few friends, did some quests. Never made it out of free to play before I took a break, came back and found RS2. By then phats we're already incredibly high priced, so the break was a little too long I suppose :|

Way back when I remember killing so many goblins that I had 1k or so by the time I logged out. I was pretty excited about it but I knew there was better out there. There'd be people walking around with phats and masks and god armour (which I dreamed about collecting all the sets), and it was my goal to be like them someday. They could kill a goblin in one hit after all :P But at the time combat was pretty important to me, so I kept killing the generic cows, chickens, giant rats, zombies, skeletons, red spiders, and eventually trained like crazy on ice warriors and giants. Always used to work on mining too .. and when someone gave me a rune pickaxe, it felt like Christmas.

My first holiday item was the chicken as well, and like most others I went around smacking everyone for a few minutes before getting really bored :P Getting members felt like a miracle, that's when I started playing until the early hours in the morning ... I wouldn't be where I am without it :)

My friend gave me full iron and I was so happy until I went out into the wildy and got killed. Then I made a new account XD

I got 1k from that Shield of Arrav quest or something and I was absolutely ecstatic.

Getting killed by muggers.

I remember finding an iron Fullhelm on the ground, and being spaztic about it. I also remember, when I first joined RS, I used to go to the B&GC and I used to own my own smithing company :D

Edit: I also remember renting out those houses behind the cabbage house for money xD

i remeber i had full iron and i was so happy then this guy wanted to trade me full steel for iron and i did then i didnt kno if it was a good deal or if i got riped off for like 5 days then i found out steel was better and i was happy lol

When I first started I remember getting a random event and being incredibly excited because I got 500gp. But like all other noobs I carried all my stuff around with me so I died to dark wizards and didn't know about gravestones. Later that day a guy got me to sell him all my cowhides for 5gp each. Because I didn't know how much they were worth I thought this was an awesome deal and did that for about a week until a rl friend that I was getting ripped off. Another thing was that I didnt know where anything was. When someone said you could buy armor and weapons in Varrock my response was that I should wait until I'm higher level otherwise I might die from some high lv (lv 20) monster.

lvl 3... I met a friend who led me to "fally" of course it was actually port sarim. we killed gobs there and fished shrimps XD
