there was an old poll on rs that asked if people preferred the old rs(macros, unlimited trading ,etc.) or the new rs(GE, no macros, etc.)

This poll is mostly to see if people have changed their minds at all. This poll will last for 7 days, and at the end of 7 days, I'll tell you the results of old rs poll, and this one.

This is definitely a hard decision. Because I love the G.E., but I want to be able to give my poor friends stuff.

Old Runescape, except with the GE.

Hmm.. it's hard to say. Since I'm a skiller, these things haven't really affected my play like losing the pking in wilderness, duel arena staking, but the bots made trees disappear that much faster, sent prices down, and had Jagex at constant work (or at least they should've been). I liked having the freedom ..

But the GE was a nice update, and since the prices are close enough to what they were for sharks & magic logs I'm alright. Now that there's almost no bots, it means a tree will live for that much longer. Could live without lending, but it's cool to lend stuff to friends. Of course I have nightmares about not getting things back due to a glitch or something when it's an expensive item :P but what it all comes down to .. RWT was against the rules, Jagex couldn't or perhaps didn't want to keep constantly stopping it, so wellah.

I can't decide XD
I miss being able to give my friends gifts because I never know what to do with my money.
But the bots were a killer. I hated them with a passion.
They stole my mage logs >_<
Hmm I think in the long run though, the bots would have ruined rs to the point where it wouldn't even be fun anymore .

I started the old topic, which can be found [Here]. Interesting results, really.

I prefer the old way, mainly for the unlimited trades and the macros. ; D

Probably the old way, even though I love the Grand Exchange, I loved PKing more.

Macros and RWT didn't affect me at all.

I voted for the new RS.

Yes it would be nice to be able to give friends more than the trading limit, but that is about the only thing I would change.

My friends still manage to make good exchanges and if you are really determined to 'give' away a good item you can work out how much you have to give your friend in smaller amounts so eventually they can trade back for the valuable item you want to give. Takes a bit longer, is all.

I hated PK'ing and would hardly ever go in the wild because of it. People advertising gold selling etc were a real pian as were the bots at trees and mines and fishing.

I have no concerns with the new RuneScape at the moment, really. The existence of the Grand Exchange pretty much makes up for everything else.

That pretty much sums up my thoughts as well. Grand Exchange was a great addition to Runescape.

I prefer the old Runescape. The only downside to that was the macroers. Honestly, the old Runescape with the unbalanced trade removed would be good, but I'd like it to be in a fair way so that people who knew each other for a year or whatever so they could give presents and stuff. I really hate the Grand Exchange. I do use it, but it just feels different, like I'm buying from an NPC instead of a real player. In fact, Jagex could easily do that. At the moment, they can completely control the prices without anyone finding out.

But if we had the GE in the old runescape, wouldn't all prices are still be predetermined by Jagex?
