Greetings fellow RuneScaper!

I have some special news for you! There is an exclusive forum open to a lucky 100 players and, if you are reading this, you are one of the chosen few!

So why you?

I have looked into your account and have noticed that you regularly send in abuse reports to us, which is excellent! However some of the reports don't contain any evidence of a rule being broken. The reason for this could well be that you are perhaps not up to date with rules or maybe we need to be clearer on what should, and should not be reported?

So where can you find this exclusive forum?

All you need to do is simply log on to the 'RuneScape Forums', then scroll down to the bottom of the page where you will find 'Reporting Support', there you will see the forum titled ‘RuneScape Patriots', our special code name. ;)

This forum gives you an excellent opportunity to ask any questions about reporting abuse, no matter how big or small.....fantastic!

I have already been able to talk to some of you in game and have had some really positive feedback, so thank you! Following my time in game with you guys and girls there has been some improvement in the accuracy of the reports you have been sending in already, that's brilliant! However, there is still more to do. :)

Here at Jagex we really want you to enjoy your RuneScape experience and don't want you to spend unnecessary time sending in reports that don't show an offence being committed, but we do want you to continue taking the time to let us know when rules are being broken!

The inbox messages I have sent you over the past week, should have given you a taster of some of the common mistakes players make. So please come along to my forum and let's clear up a few more of those reporting myths!

All that leaves me to do is let you know if you’re new to the forums and have not yet posted, you need to take some time to have a look around the forums and make a post to get yourself familiar with them

you will be able to see this exclusive forum. But fear not, we will keep an eye out and once you have taken the time to make a post we will grant you access as soon as possible, just keep checking back at the forums until you see the ‘RuneScape Patriots'!

Kind Regards,

Mod James H

Well thats a letter my friend (who's name shall be withheld) claims she recieved in her inbox. Has anyone else heard of these "Runescape Patriots". She said she would send me a screenshot but still has not, and also claims she has access to the mod center (and shes not a mod). If anyone can give me some insight on this it would be appreciated.

edit: Image

thats a screenshot of when she brought him into chat. typically i wasnt there....

Well, I don't see how it would be a way to get hold of someone's account. As you can't transfer items anymore. Also it said nothing about a password.

Sounds interesting though. Even though, in my opinion it's quite hard to believe.

it had nothing to do with that stuff?

She claims she is in some sort of "mod training program", and as far as i know you either hit accept or decline, you dont go through "mod training", or do you?

well, that was because i cannot confirm he really wrote that. If she sent me a screenshot of the message instead of the copied and pasted text it would be more believable. I would also like a screenshot of said "special forum" but she claims she is busy and cant take the time to take a screenshot.

Lol? Screenshots take little under a minute. :/

I don't think it's true. Only 100 players?

Ive asked several mods i know, (mainly clanmates and old cav exchanging friends) and they all say they havent heard of it. And only 100 players makes it seem less likely.

I don't see why you would take people who don't understand the rules and put them in a program with the possibility of becoming a mod at the end of it. XD What is the program called? "Links to the Rule Page: Teaching the Challenged RSers How to Read" :?

Something about the message screams "unprofessionally written!!!" :-s Probably the lack of correct/any punctuation in parts.

And access to the Mod Centre? You don't give the Locally Developed Program the Gifted Program's resources.

The screenshot isn't loading, but I doubt it's real.

This sounds sketchy. Probably real-looking enough to fool someone who wants to believe it. There's a sentence where the first word isn't even capitalized. If this were a formal message, it wouldn't be carelessly sent out with such an obvious error.

First and very basic query.

Her inbox on Runescape or her email inbox?

RS ONLY EVER send messages to your account inbox, they never use your email inbox.

Being cynical, I would say at least one of your friends is taking you for a rise.

Yes, JMods do come into the game and I have met one at a POH party, so the conversation snip is probably genuine.
