Okay so I was thinking of ways to rack in the money. When I thought: What do you do with money? You dont really buy stuff from npcs anymore. But whats REALLY the use for it. The dragon chainmail is better then 22mil. What do you do? Throw coins at kbd? |

Money is useful because it is universal. For example if someone is selling full rune theyd rather have 220k which they could easily use to buy somthing else than say 22 of an item worth 10k. |

Im just saying what do you do with it IN THE GAME. I think id rather have full dragon then 45mil. Because the dragon gives me defence and such. |

you need money to get full dragon, so why do you prefer full dragon than 45m, with 45m you can buy lots of other stuff |

Looking at it the bright way, atleast Runescape is not like Diablo 2 and Lord of Destruction. On those, money is used to buy stuff from NPCs, IF it is used. Normally trades are for items. Instead, on Runescape, you can buy armor/food/stuff that will help your character on an overall level. The money is used to help make life easier. It would be easier to buy those 2000 yew logs than to cut them yourself for your crafting. |

I think what he is trying to say is that some ppl just keep the money and don't buy any armours, arrows, etc.. I guess showing off? |

I would also keep some money like them. You never know when a new skill like Smithing or Herblaw (Skills that can be leveled by buying stuff, unlike Woodcutting and Fishing). You also never know when lots of land will be available on the market, or Player Owned Houses and the like. Not to mention new Dragon or better items  .
