First and foremost, there is an extremely huge difference between a "noob" and a "newb." Clearly, many people aren't aware of that difference, so let me explain it first. A noob is a person who acts extremely annoying, or tries to get attention by doing annoying things. He will try to scam, insult, beg, and put down runescape players. Or when playing Castle Wars, he will stand and root for the other team or help the other team by giving them their own flag. A newb, on the other hand, is a person who is new to the game. Being a f2p or a p2p, it doesn't matter, they will frequently ask for help or will be a low level with a low bank value and low skills. Note: Newbs can be noobs at the same time, and in those cases they will be called a "noob." -- So if you are frequently called a noob and you want to try to stop that from happening, read on. Let me start off by saying that sometimes no matter what you do, there will be people (noobs) who will call you a noob for no reason, even if you're better than they are at, well, everything. And you just can't control that. ........ Things to do to not be called a noob: IGNORE insults. I know in grade school they taught you to ignore bad things and don't continue arguing... well this plays in here. Most people call you a noob to try to trigger you to do something that will look bad to others. For example, you are fishing in Karamja and some idiot calls you a "noob" because you refuse to make him a fire. Instead of saying, "Shut up noob, I can own you in the wildy," you can just smile or ignore. You will look more of a noob when you fight back, and you will make the other person look good. TRADE right. When someone is selling an item that you want and the conversation goes like this: seller: Selling 10 law runes! you: *trade* seller: *puts up the 10 law runes* you: How much? seller: Offer At this point, you really should make an offer... if you don't know how much an item is worth, it should say on the bottom of the trade the value of those 10 law runes. Don't say "No.. I don't offer... name a price." that gets EXTREMELY irritating and gets you nowhere. Not only have you wasted your time, but the seller will probably just cancel the trade and move on. Rather than being an annoying noob, just place an offer, even if it's "20gp" they will usually tell you how much they want from there. And if they end up calling you a noob for no reason, refer to the "IGNORE insults" rule. Killing Technique If at any point you have to kill someone, either in Castle Wars, Clan Wars, or Bounty Hunter, or w/e, don't be a noob. How? Don't think you're any better -- even if it looks like you are. You don't know what goes on in that person's life, how much money they have, how long they spend playing rs, etc. So you have absolutely no reason to call them a noob. When you kill that person, don't call them a noob. When they kill you, don't call them a noob (or a nerd in some cases). Even if they are extremely bothersome and stuck up, don't call them a noob or try to insult them or harass them. If you do, you're a noob. So.. don't. No BEGGING Gosh, this is about the most annoying thing anybody could EVER do in runescape (besides bakstabbing your friend in the wildy and killing them ![]() ------------ Pictures of people NOT being noobs: ![]() ![]() ------------ Thanks for reading. Be polite -- not annoying, and you won't be a noob. Edit: A noob can also be reffered to in many other ways. (C)Pop Decay@ rsbandb. |

Ooh, nice guide!!! Now I hope that 'noobs' ( no offense ) can stop begging people. I get so annoyed when people keep begging/asking something that I already said. |
