taken directly from the knowlege base --> manual --> skills --> slayer --> extra features. i've yet to see what farming experence you gain from growing one. Quote: The Jade Vine
If you have completed Back to my Roots, you will be able to grow a jade vine in a Farming patch in East Ardougne. Should you let this plant go 'wild', it will grow into an impressive Slayer monster. You cannot be assigned to kill the jade vine, but doing so will earn you a handy 3000 Slayer experience. Note, though, that you must attack it with a Woodcutting axe and have secateurs in your inventory. |

Wasn't it supposed to train two skills at once? Probably farming? What would be the farming exp from growing that vine? |

The vine gives farming experience when you check it's health. It gives slayer exp after you kill it. *shrugs* Nothing at all like TOG tbh. |

you get a jade vine seed after you complete the quest. But I dont know whether the vine will re-grown after you kill it. Mine is still growing. 3k slayer xp come handy since the npc is just next to bank |

You can get Farming exp from the vine by pruning it instead of killing. So you can choose which skill to train Farming or Slayer. The problem is that you get only about 350 Farming exp for full pruning and of course you don't get any extra exp for checking health after pruning. So I bet everyone will go for extra 3K Slayer all the time and replant the vine. |

you get 1500 farming exp for checking health, and every time you prune it, you get 30 farming exp for every pruning. you get 3000 slayer exp for killing it, and a new seed. i've yet to check what exp you get for planting. |

![]() This is crap. it is like tears of guthix in that it's repeatable. from the time you plant, it takes between 2 and 4 days to grow, check health, and grow wild. then you kill it and plant it again. so you can do it 2-3 times per week. hats about 5k farming and 9k slayer. i beilieve if you look at the highscores, slayer and farming are the 2 least appreciated skills in runescape... |

I would estimate at around 36 hours, but I'm unsure because I checked inbetween slayer tasks. |
