I have heard people say that yew longs are one of the greatest ways to make money, but if you think about it: If you buy your own supplies: 300k for 1k yews, 200k for 1k bowstrings. You only end up making 100-120k profit for every 1000 yew longs. You can only make about 1k yew longs in an hour anyways. Wouldn't other methods be better money? For this skill you only make about 8 mil from 70 - 99. |

Yeah, other methods are better. The fastest money with a skill is runecrafting natures. (I think) It's about 300K an hour. |

It used to be good to Fletch some Yew Longbows, but prices have been inflating/deflating for a while now, and it just isn't worth it. Get 44 Rc, buy some Glories and Pure Ess, and start making Natures. |

Depends, if you pk in a heavily populated pking world (like 18) no one dares to kill runecrafters. |

Abyss RC'ing nearly always makes you money, unless you happen to die or get pked... For Yew Longs, as long as you make your own natures you'll get a fair profit..Plus, if you count the profits you can make from a higher mage level later on, the profits will increase quite a bit ![]() |

Alching yew longs is normally used to fund the training of either magic or fletching, or both. It's not normally used as a source of income. |

They are good to make money...but when you have lots of them and you are selling them....there are chances you are likely to get scammed. |

I find you get more profit if you just chop the trees and make the bowstring yourself. Saves you a good 500 coins per bow, plus you get exp in 2 other skills. Runescape's all about skill, not money, I find. |

Exactly true. For a little more time spent getting all your supplies, you can make more money. |
