A small change has been made to single-way combat in the Wilderness. Player-vs-player combat now takes precedence over monster fighting, meaning that anyone in battle with a creature can still be attacked by another player. Before, a player could fight another player, run away, enter combat with a creature, and stop the other player from attacking them. All other single-way combat rules still apply, with only one player able to attack you at a time, and only one creature able to attack at any time.

Let me repeat that.

Player-vs-player combat now takes precedence over monster fighting, meaning that anyone in battle with a creature can still be attacked by another player.

Good luck training..Plus, dragon bone, as well as green dragonhide prices are going to skyrocket, unless I read and interpreted this incorrectly.

Thanks, Jagex. You needed to get rid of the autoers, now you've just gotten rid of everyone else too.

Its a resonable update. wont really put off most people except cowards

Not really. I don't care who you are, the fact that you're training somewhere and you can be attacked by another player while you are fighting sort of puts quite a few people off. Sure, it's the wilderness, I understand that. But at least if you saw someone coming before, you could tele or run before you killed your monster and could have gotten away.

Now, it looks as though if you're going into the wilderness, you're probably going to get attacked. Prices for dragon bones and green dragonhide will change dramatically, not to mention the fact that it will be near impossible to get away from a mage in the wilderness. People won't be able to hide in the axe-hut..They can't run through the goblin mine.

Sure, in some cases this is good..But for anyone who trains at all in the wilderness, this will hinder you greatly.

Yeah, it seems odd that Jagex decided to fix this 'bug' after how many years... I don't really understand the logic either. Another player shouldn't be able to attack you if you are already in battle, player or monster.

There's always a risk of dying in the Wilderness, so I don't believe it will affect us as much as you think it will.

Well think you're training on green dragons, you find a world with no people. Half way through the first dragon a guy comes along, tele blocks you and then entangles, and kills you with dds.

I think this was a solution to get rid of the green dragon gold farmers, but once again with something that affects regular players a lot.

Sure, there's always been a risk. But now, the risk has increased dramatically. Before, you were able to at least try to flee if you were attacking a monster..Now if that Ahrim clan logs in while you're training at Green Dragons...You're pretty much an ice cube.

Oh, and lets hear it for getting attacked while fighting that demon for the Family Crest quest.

this update has pros and cons.
Pros: autoers will have a harder time autoing green drags.
Pkers will have an easier time pking people at green drags, ice giants, rune rocks, treasure trailers and the occasional person powermining iron by the mage arena (yes, people do powermine there)

Cons: Those who happily train at various wilderness training spots will have to worry about constant pker attacks and may die frequently.
Treasue trailer will be out of luck if they are found by a pker as running to various monsters won't work anymore.

Other: not sure if this is good or bad: rune ore, dragon bones and green dragonhide prices will skyrocket (rune ore not so much)

I like this update as it makes it harder for dragon autoers but I also hate is because I often head into the wildy for treasure trail

It won't affect treasures trail. You still need to stay clear of any foes. NPC or not.

You will get attacked by the Zamorak wizard + another npc if you're in multi or not...Don't know if you could get attacked by a player in this instance though.

If the player had any intention on killing a trailer, then he would do so after they would have fought the Zamorak Mage.

Not much would have changed.

I haven't seen too many pkers in Edgeville dungeon before, but I'm still concerned about the demon for Family Crest. I haven't done that quest on this account yet, and I'm a bit concerned about a player attacking me in the middle of that battle to be an ***.
