Post subject: | Aggressive Randoms... Get rid of them! |
I saw a rant on the Official Forums that I could not have agreed more with. Aggressive randoms- Tree Spirit, River Troll, Rock Golem... etc These creatures cause more mayhem for loyal players than macroers. If we die because we may have lost connection or lagged out. We lose valuables, macroers don't. Violence isn't the answer, all Jagex needs to do is somehow mess up their pattern. Nowhere is safe in Runescape, anything you do could spawn an aggressive random event. Dr Jekyll and a Strange plant if you fail to notice that they're your's if you're in a crowded area could be hazardous... Especially in world 2 when you're most likely to have the most amount of money on you. So... Remove: Tree Spirit Evil Chicken Rock Golem River Troll Dr Jekyll Zombie Shade Swarm Alter: Strange Plant (If they don't take the fruit, the plant should disappear.) Keep: Sandwich Lady Molly Evil Bob M.O.M- Maze, Pinball, Mime Drill Demon Miles, Giles & Niles Genie Exam You get the idea... Discuss. |

noo. zombies and shades are great. I don't want any stupid gravedigger events. Personally, I think that; The "To go" list; Evil Chicken, River Troll, Rock Golem, Tree Spirit. - Altered; Sandwich Lady - Cannot appear while you're in combat. Strange Plant - Just remove it. Ty. Keep; Everything else. |

Nah, just make them stun you like the Dragonspear special and make you fly back, then have a dialogue box appear: Engage Combat? with answers randomly shifted (like 1st time yes is the upper option, next time it's possible to be lower) |

I totally disagree with you. Those randoms are the closest thing to random 'bad' events in the game. The only other time things go wrong is in the wildy and that is when players are there by choice. Wood of advice, don't wear rares while doing monotonous activities. You don't need to flaunt it and it certainly doesn't help you. I really thing you are making a bigger deal about this than there is to make. If you can't deal with a simple random that asks you a question than you really should stop playing games...all games. |

No meese, I keep my attention to the game, but I died because of lag and tree spirit =deadly combination. I never wear my rares, but if you need to cut let's say 100 magics for extra cash, and you wear full rune +odd stuff, you won't be happy to lose that to a random and crappy ISP. |

Just leave everything. If anything is altered or removed:

What I'm trying to say isn't about rare items. It's about how little macroers are affected by random events. Instead they are more of an annoyance to us. |

I say ANY randoms should poison the victim with the first hit, as the macros will all die for lack of programming knowing to get anti-poison. You and I can go to the bank and recover. Remember the purpose of randoms. They are not to ruin your gaming experience, but to thwart macros and afk players. |

Why would you wear armor while woodcutting anyways? It just adds weight so you can't run as long when you're taking the logs back to the bank. When I woodcut, I usually just have my axe with me (and a rabbit's foot ammy when I'm a member) |

Hmm, I kind of agree. But I like some of the combat ones than the other ones, especially the chicken. At the least make them less random and more geared to suspected macroers, and up the rewards. |

I agree.. By the way most of the ''macros'' are gold farmers... Randoms barely do anything to them... |

i agree that they should be taken off because i lost veracs helm, ranger boots and obby cape to a strange plant because i didnt notice it and by the time i did and i tryed to run but the poison got me before i could bak everything. however they are more or less the only defence against bots ![]() |

Keep them. It's the things like bob that annoy me, having to do lots of work for little reward. The fighting ones are nothing, you can just run. |

Again, connection loss is still an issue. |
