Post subject:  Missing autoers? An odd predicament
Don't get me wrong. I hate autoers just as much as the next guy (they smoked shark prices :( ), but might we miss them if they are ever all eliminated?

I think I already do miss them actually. I think that they were one of the main factors keeping rares up. Now that they are being attacked harder by Jagex, rares continue to fall (my mask set is losing me so much money *cry*). Also, what would happen to skills such as fletching/smithing with no autoer-supplied source of logs/ore?

Just a couple of my thoughts on the matter. What do you guys think?

Autoers keep prices down, so I'm going to be honest and say that I prefer that autoers exist.

They make a bunch of money in-game in order to get rares, so they are able to offer higher amounts for them.

Well, I sort of agree here even though they also hurt the economy by killing the price of sharks and other things.

Well, most normal people don't earn enough cash to offer high prices for rares. But autoers can make enough to give me a decent offer on my mask (currently down like 30m :cry: )

I'm sure there are plany of ppl who are rich enought to buy a mask tbh.
They can't get one unless they buy it from another player.

Well yes, they can now. Rares dropped to affordable for the average player range. I paid like 101M for my mask set right when they were at their peak :cry: , but they seem to continue to drop as autoers are being hounded by Jagex. I could be wrong, but I think that there is a connection.

It probably got lowered because of the item duplication thing.

Item duplication thing? I only recall one occurence of that, and it was way back on RSC. That wouldn't just suddenly cause a problem right now. Unless there is a new incident I haven't heard of. In which case, explain please :D

Fletchers might suffer. There will be less yews on the market. Cooks may also suffer but there never has really been a shortage of sharks and lobbies.

I won't miss them, because I don't see them often.

Autoers, and RWI Traders are different. Many people don't get that.

Bots don't effect Rares in anyway.

Rares drop due to less people selling more people buying (increases price.
Less people buying, more people selling (decreases price)

Bots don't buy anything but dds's and whips for the Green dragon bots.

But anyway I'd prefer if bots was gone for good, it make RS and others skill more of a Challenge again, start getting people doing more instead of getting things too easy. :twisted:

Only thing i will miss the Bots for is, Getting them killed, tele-other them, and make them yell random stuff in Chinese when slowing them down.
