I just got the Bob the Cat random, and while I was doing it a level 4 appeared, with the traditional autoer look (Bald, tan shirt, green pants). He actually did the random. If this guy wasn't autoing, i'm sorry for reporting you. But I'm pretty sure he was. Edit: My friend just made me sure that he was an autoer. Apparently they have a new autoer out that gives you a Chinese name. I won't tell you his full name but I'll tell you that the main part was Zhong. I took a short video if anyone wants it. |

13 autoers in w 48 fishing guild as I write. ![]() Its ashame Jagex doesn't do anything about them. Do you know if we have to trade flood 'em or try talking to 'em before we report, or can we just report them? |

They are programmed to do every random avaliable for their particular task now. Jagex are losing the war on macros. |

Jagex can't do anything about autoers, they will always come out of nowhere. They are programmed to do evey random in there task last agent said.. If they fail at a random which i doubt they will simply log out and log in on another acc with a similar name. |

Perhaps...but there are a lot of ways to deter people from using macros...one being make the macro too much work. Macros rely on patterns..that can be easily programmed. All RS has to do is have the sandwich lady have, say 30 different options that are interchangable. Then do that for all the random...add more options that don't always show up. Then change what that randoms say, keeping the same meaning of course, but still making it so the macro doesn't recognize it. The language thing has worked will and if Jagex opens up somemore of those they can definately compartmentalize the randoms. Jagex should also have more skiller player mods...in F2P especially because I see macros all the time 10 or 12 to a tree. Lastly, more server updates. Things that break the macro program beyond the game...say an "update" every night at 2:00 A.M., when most macros are working and most cheaters are asleep (2:00 AM my time I guess as that is when the updates usually are.) If macroers have to spend 1, 2, or 5 hours a day updating there program or resetting it...all of a sudden it doesn't look as appealing as the 5 minutes they used to have to spend ever four days. Also, putting some lvl 30-40 monsters on some of the yew places would definately keep the 3-5 lvl macroers out...one hit and they are done...chances are if they have to train combat on top of wcing...they will fold too much work. But Jagex won't do this...and I'll tell you why. Macroers keep the prices of needed items down for members. That is the truth...if the demand for yews was at it is with just real players...the price of yews would be 400-600 easy, and above game integrity in Jagex's line of work, is money...and that is why we have 10-12 macroers to one tree in draynor in a F2P world... They could...and quite easily could I might add...but they won't. |

macroers did evil bob? that's like the most complex random... I really think jagex should give player mods power to knock people off the server, that'll slve much of the problem |

They can reconize colors and such. This must be a VERY complex autoing program to get past autoers though |

A few other players and I came up with a temporary solution and will actually cut down on the number of autoers. Around every place (mines, forests, fishing spot) have npc's that are at least level 8 (this will not make some real players happy, but alas, alas) and make them able to poison their victims. Most people that flood the game with autoers will not be willing to spend the time (as this means money to them) leveling up their autoers to the appropriate levels to not be attacked. But.......JAGEX really needs to figure out a better way to detect them. The ultimate deterent will be to raise the cost of membership. F2P is a lost cause IMHO. |

Putting monsters around resources won't help, they will just train combat. Make resources easy to obtain and people will get them on their own. |
