Runescape Bits & Bytes :: View topic - new skill idea animal taming?

Here is a list of the ideas that you can now discuss on this thread:

More pets/trained monsters/tamed animals.
A bank search/organization.
More bank space.
New bank locations/banking from anywhere.
Dragon items.
Ninja/Samurai items/fighting styles/clothing/town.
Guns (including any Holiday Item resembling a Gun).
Using 2 Weapons.
Daytime and night-time/Weather.
New altars.
A player made 'examine'.
Larger inventory.
Player-owned stores.
Races (Elves, Dwarves etc) / Players starting as another race.
Summoning/necromancy.
Sitting/Lying down.

Depending on how well this thread works with these ideas, other ideas from the 'Do not/already suggested' list may eventually also be allowed on this sticky.

ok. what if we could tame animals?and they can fight by your side.and you have to raise it from a baby. from giant rats to dragons.(easy but cool skill) lvl1:giant rats.can grow to lvl 10 lvl3:giant spiders. can grow to lvl 20 lvl5:giant scorpians lvl10: falcons lvl20:bears lvl30:wolves lvl50:hell hounds lvl90:dragons

Not a bad idea but it would have to thought out more. Other wise I can see where you're going with it. Obviously you could only use them in multicombat areas.

Maybe have it added to hunter instead where you trap the animal and it becomes yours to aid in combat until it escapes from you. I don't think having something like a blue dragon to fight with you good, though. It would make killing things really easy...

Maybe, but they could only fight in multi-combat and they only hit everynow and then, like poison. Also, with each animal there should be like a max-hit. Haveing to hunt them before would be good, blue or green dragons would take like ages of tracking where-as chickens would just be easy as pie.

yeah..that definetly could've been thought out more... Dragons would make combat way too easy. Maybe it would be better if hell hounds and dragons couldn't attack anywhere except for the wilderness. as an added bonus dragons could fly you from place to place instead of wasting runes to teleport and you could ride hell hounds for like half an hour at a time.

I think this is a great idea. I would train a baby blue dragon to a full grown blue dragon!
