Me and my friend did a little experiment to see how little Jagex actually listen to F2P's. First, we made 2 accounts with vulgar names. Next we tested out to see how long we could survive, breaking rule #1, Offensive Language. I expected to last 10, maybe 15 minutes. We found ways around all the censors, swearing and making sexual comments. Next, we became violently racist. 5 more minutes, I thought. 2 hours later, we still weren't banned. I got kinda bored, so I decided to get off and wait till Jagex made some actions. An hour later, my account is still accesible. So what does this tell us? Go report those noobs autoing in F2P, it won't do anything. Jagex focus all their attention to P2P, and that is wrong on their part. Maybe Jagex should start paying a little attention to the majority of their players, and try to make the F2P worlds a safer environment. *I know I probaby sound like a real idiot, breaking rules on purpose, swearing, making sexual comments, and being racist, but it's all for the better knowledge of others.* |

The thing is that Jagex can't get around all that quickly. I think they do care about F2P but definitely not as much as P2P. |

F2P pays too...it is called advertising and I would wager Jagex makes more off of advertising then they do off of P2P. |

I did the same experiment about a month ago. Except I used a program. It was an auto typer that broke all the rules. You name it, it broke that rule. It was actually kindof funny. It took me 1.5 hours to be banned. |

See, this is why Jagex focus more on P2P then F2P, is because F2Pers break rules for FUN and "experiments", and it's virtually impossible keep track of them all. Whereas in P2P, no one would pay 5 ucks to get their character banned, so it happens less often and Jagex are better able to cope with it. |

This is a lie. I made an account called "Cex For 50p" to test JAGeX, but never logged in on it, within a day it was banned without me even logging in. JAGeX actually make more money from F2p, but they have to give P2p more attention since they are often accused of not banning P2p rule-breakers just because they want to keep the constant cash flow. Trust me. JAGeX care, but do you have any idea how many reports get sent in every day? And how many JAGeX staff there are to deal with them? There are probably upwards of 200,000 reports sent in a day, and JAGeX staff only has 50 or so customer support members. That means each member would have to flick through 4000 reports a day. Also, if you've ever read the Player Moderator guide, (only available to player moderators though), JAGeX arn't worried about offensive language that much, they take racism seriously and will punish it when they notice it, but the top of their list of priorities is JAGeX staff impersonation, cheating(autoing), etc. <3 -Matt |

I've also done this on P2P, I got banned in about 4 hours (I drew people's attention on forums) ...I get bored sometimes... |

Well it's obvious that those who pay will get better treatment. Besides, there's not really any point in creating an experiment about it. In the end, there's always going to be noobs, and Jagex can't catch every single one of them. Just turn your public chat off, that's what I do. |

They actually have to research each report. They can't deal with a report per second. It takes them time with all the reports, and the false reports. |

JAGeX arn't worried about offensive language that much, they take racism seriously and will punish it when they notice it, You caught me. I made all this up just to get a reaction. ![]() It's been almost 24 hours now and the account is still accesible. I forgot to mention that I also misused the Report Button(Aginst the rules) by reporting about 5 people for no reason. I just don't see the care for F2P... |

If this was true, then Jagex wouldnt have a p2p, because they would just give ads to all players instead. ![]() Jagex just throws ads on f2p for a little extra income. On the topic: Jagex can't be everywhere at once. With over 100,000 players on, it is hard for them to process through the thousands of reports that wanna be mods send in. Also there are more f2p worlds than p2p. If they didnt care about f2p, they would make less worlds and force people to fight for a spot on ANY world. The f2p is mostly made to be like a demo to p2p. They hook you, you get bored of being limited to a small number of things to do, you start paying 5$ a month because you are hopelessly addicted ![]() |
