Anyway, RC is still a dominant money making skill and it's extremely easy to do and makes tons of money.

It is also the reason for so much money coming into the game.

Updates like pure essence among other things are clearly attempts to slow down how many nature runes are made. But even with these updates, RC still remains one of the dominant skills for money making, yet for some reason people love to complain that the skill is ruined.

Of all things to bring up, this update hardly will curve the amount of natures made. At most, it makes it slightly more dangerous to abyssal craft [because there's a greater chance of losing your pouches], which would slow down some people.

Honestly, you're still going to be making the same amount of nats per hour. If you get pked, go get your pouches back and learn to RC without getting PKed. If you die with a skull, you're supposed to lose all your items anyway, dropping your pouches is just a loophole, technically, so if this slows that down, I don't mind.

This is a minor update and won't drastically affect anything which is why I figured that even a thread made about it is over-reaction. At most, sending a complain to Jagex would suffice, anything else is excessive.

Anyway, there's always threads in the rants forum about every update no matter what the update is always. For some reason people like to say Jagex only makes updates that hurt the game and use phrases like 'if it's not broken, don't fix it'.

Most people refuse to give new things a chance. A lot of people just like to complain at change in general. They refuse to try out new systems or even to wait and see how new systems will truly affect them. Can anyone explain to me how so many people are ranting about Hunting? It's not even released yet. We know nothing about it. What the hell are all these people complaining about?

I just don't get it. Jagex can never please everyone. Sometimes it seems that a lot of you would just like this game to never be updated.

I think the new update for essence pouches where a warning message comes up if you try and drop your pouches is a terrible update. It elimanates the one way to save hours getting back your valuable pouches. Now, if someone is attacking you, it's very hard to drop your pouches because the message dissapears every time you aree attacked thus creating a problem in the way of dropping your pouches, dying and teleing to go pick them up. The message is not really needed because all it tells you is you will lose your essence if you drop them and almost any abyss crafter knows that and if your willing to drop them of course your willing to lose 20 some essence. For once, why can't Jagex come out with an idea to BENEFIT RuneCrafters, not Pkers?? Now, they're just trying to ruin the skill of RuneCrafting with this and the pure essence update.

It's official. The skill of RuneCrafting is ruined. PKing rules all runecrafters and RCers will now be the poorest skillers in the game making no profit. Honestly, stop over-reacting and send in a complaint to Jagex if it's seriously that horrendous.

Calm down, Dragon. Everyone's got a right to an opinion. You can't expect Jagex to be sensible. I agree though, the messages are annoying. But usually when I get attacked, I don't manage to get back to the abyss in time to pick them up anyway. It is frustrating and maybe you should post it on the RS official forums.

Its not impossible, I managed to tele away from a pker with my glory... So I think dropping pouches is the same.

Don't get me wrong I love waiting to see the new updates each and every week, and I never said that this caused you to make less Nats or make less money. Pure Essence though does make you lose more money if you buy your essence, because a lot of people don't sell it and when they do it's for 110gp each when it used to be around 50gp each. And losing pouches is a big deal, because if you lose all 4 it can take up to 2 hours to get them back which is a loss of 2,000 Nats or 600k.

i'd have to say it was just a mistake on JAGeX's part. in my opinion they thought that people would rather get the warning so as not to accidentally drop the pouches they worked so hard to gain. imo, they simply were not aware that abyss rune crafters drop their pouches to save them, and thus thought that the pros out-wieghed the cons in this situation. the best course of action would be to petition. in oother words, get as many people together you knwo of that don't like the upgrade, and have them all tell JAGeX they don't like the new update and why. all there is to say, all that needs to be said.
