That's right, folks, I've been muted ingame. Me! By someone who pretty much forced me to. And what's even worse in this scenerio was that I appealed before realizing that I was able to view the evidence, meaning that my appeal will not only sound pointless, but also give Jagex the idea that I had no idea about it. Blast. It's times like this that I wish I could be supported by others who know me. I checked out the evidence and I read about someone actually ASKING me to tell them a website they could check out to see one of my guides. Here, in fact. He made me say "rsbandb.com". I tried to help him with a quest: ... and I was reported for that. That traitor! So, until I get this all sorted out with Jagex, don't try speaking to me because I'm muted. The reason why i put this in general discussion is this: Do you guys think that there should be some changes to the appeal section of the site? I never saw that "view evidence section" in time to realize I had something to appeal with, and I am unable to change my appeal accordingly. |

I'm afraid that's probably not possible. I have a red flag (again, for saying something that someone else asked me to) and I wasted my appeal by mistake. All I can do now is hope that something will change that allows me to retry. |

You don't know it was him that reported you, it could have been someone in the area. Either way, you broke the rules. |

well, rules are meant to be followed you can't advertise in the game so don't do it at all! |

Well, sorry to say, but you should have reported him for 'Encourage Others to Break Rules' instead of breaking one yourself. That's what the rules there for. I could maby understand if it was a really close friend and he turned on you.. |

Seems to me that players are reporting more and more for the littlest things. Its just my opinion though. I heard somewhere that if you call Jagex personally they almost always unban/mutee you. I cannot say that is true though. |

One of my friends received two blackmarks in a similar scenerio... In PM one of his friends asked him what site he was on (while they were fishing) and he told him, and his friend reported him. His friend was trying to rack up reports in order to become a pmod. I was very pleased to hear his friend later got muted for something and then a blackmark (appealed, though), which hurts his chances at becoming a pmod greatly. |

That happened to me once Not being muted, but wasting my appeal, I got banned for supposedly macroing, because I was high-alching all day. I went to view evidence but Jagex said I wasn't allowed. After that I was on my last chance, and I got busted for saying (bad word to describe someone of the opposite skin colour) but it was a huge typo! I mean't to say begger but Jagex had filtered it out for some reason at the time, so I intentionally wanted to put b*ggar, but as the N is so close to the B on the keyboard... I got permantly banned, I apologized before viewing evidence as I did not know why I was banned, I didn't think I could view the evidence because I couldn't from my previous ban |

That's really tough luck, that happened to me when I went to make an appeal, I never saw the Evidence Area. Is it a permanent Mute or just a few days? ![]() |

I got permanently banned for getting insulted, flamed, and harassed ingame. I mean seriously, Jagex has some problems. Of course they fix them in the end (most of the time) but why be that retarded in the first place? |
