Post subject:  Chicken Dance On Emote Menu

Quick find code: 24-25-962-32391810

Most people believe that the 'Scared' emote was the first holiday emote. This is not true. Technically, the first holiday remote was the Chicken Dance. Sadly, at the time, Jagex hadn't thought of adding it to the emote menu, but simply made it do-able by right cliking your rubber chicken and selecting 'Dance'.

Imagine having to withdraw the Zombie Head each time you want to do the Scared Emote, or having to withdraw your easter ring each time you feel like doing a bunny hop!

It bothers me that I have to withdraw my rubber chicken in order to do this funny emote, and I would love to be able to do it whenever and wherever. And I'm sure there are a lot of people who agree with me. :)

Anyway, to end this short suggestion, I suggest that the rubber chicken dance be added to the emote menu. It would be un-lockable by simply dancing with your rubber chicken one time, which would allow everyone who got a rubber chicken to have the emote on the permanent menu. :)

Also, please don't say 'I don't support' simply because you don't have this holiday item/emote and you wish to keep a complete menu. This emote exists whether or not you have it. This suggestion is so that people with the emote will be able to use it without having to have the item with them (like current holiday emotes)

I posted this thread on the official forums; what do you guys think of the idea? Ever since they added the scared emote, this has been bugging me, and them updating the emote to make it usable when the chicken is wielded reminded me to finally make this thread.

I feel the emotes are a waste of interface space, I'd much rather have something else in that space. But nevertheless your idea's not bad. I wouldn't say it's the most thrilling though.

It is a pretty good idea although I rarely use emotes unless I am extremely bored, or waiting for CW to start, or something like that.

Eh, doesn't matter.

People barely used emots the way it was, but now with the new update most likely even less people will be using them. I don't have a rubber chicken, but if I did I wouldn't really care.

I never really use emotes, except for maybe the waving one sometimes. Emotes are cool, but I don't think that Jagex needs a tab full of them. I liked it the way it was before, now it just seems a bit overdone. In other mmorpgs, the emotes are usually just hotkeys, not on a whole page.

Thanks for the replies, and if you do happen to comment on the official RS forums, remember not to mention any site names or URLs as that is against the forum rules :)

just as the "egg" emote should stay connected to the egg ring, the chicken dance should be orever in cahoots with the rubber chicken, thats just the way the jagex gods intended it o be

The "egg" emote you refer to isn't an "egg" emote. You turn into another object and you stay like that indefinetly until you choose to switch to something else.

Turning into an egg isn't an emote. But the easter bunny hop is, and it's on the menu.

It is a good idea, but like Anubis said, it could be used for something more useful.

Like extra options... Add/Remove Interface for minigames and such

I suppose I see whre you're coming from, I guess it'd be a pain to go to the bank everytime you wanted to do the chicken dance, but how often do you want to do the chicken dance?

just for your information, right cliking your rubber chicken and selecting 'Dance'. This was not the only way, you could also eat the 'one-time easter eggs' that were given out and got expired. Doing so would make you do the chicken dance as well.

Yeah that interface is useless for some people. it's a waste.

If you don't have a rubber chicken you don't and never did have all the emotes (nor will you ever unless Jagex re-releases it).

You can't change what already is.
