Why did you start playing Runescape?

Post subject:  Why did you start playing Runescape?
I started playing waaay back in 2001 when a few of my friends found runescape on miniclip and reccomended it to me. Back then i was playing a text based online game called Battlefaeries, which now, is broken, I also had a very crappy internet connection (probably dial-up, icr) and so I didn't play runescape for long due to lag etc.

However when I moved again, back in 2004 I got myself a better internet connection and signed up on runescape solely to get in contact with old friends, however, I didn't manage to find them - but I continued playing anyways. So that's why I'm here - what about you?

I played RS for 2 years because my brother started to play it.
After playing 5 minutes I became an addict.

because i was bored, so i played rsc then rs2 came out and i played it

Two of my friends were playing it and told me to create an account, so I did, I was just getting used to it and basically just followed them everywhere.

They split up so I followed one of them and he lead me into the wilderness (not that i knew, even with the warning) and I got killed by an Ice Warrior, I lost my tutorial island items :oops:

I've been playing for 7 years. Back when I was younger I went to the BAGC and I saw this kid playing a game. I asked, "What is that?"
"RuneScape" So I curiously went to RuneScape.com and started to play.

Back then I had no idea what I was doing and got bored of it, playing from time to time.

I REALLY started playing about 3 months.

2 of my friends were discussing it, and convinced me to look into playing it, got addicted, and became stressed so I quit for 9 months, now I'm back again :cry: ...

Been playing for more than a year and a half now, I think, but had the nine month break in between...

Back in 2002 when I was 10 someone showed me RS. Obviously, RSC was the game back then. I had a bad connection back then, it was laggy as hell, plus I really didn't think it was all that great. I was only 10, lol.

Two years later, I get reminded of RS by the same friend. I had forgotten my old username and password so I made Bib User. This was about a week before RS2 was released as the main game. So I play regularly from then on, when RS2 was released I really didn't know wtf was going on. I thought it was heaps cooler than the old game though.

Two and a half years later, here I am.

I played another small game before this, and was in a clan. A fellow friend/clanmate recommended RuneScape, so I joined, and I got hooked to it

Funny story here <----... Back when rsc was out I couldn't get past the bakers part in tutorial so I quit for about a year or so until rs2 came out then my friend made me come back and now here I am..

i started playing three years ago, after finding it in a magazine. Before that, i never achualy played any online games. for the first few weeks i just wandered around aimlessly, trying to understand it all, and when i died in the wildy looking for lumbridge, i started playing much better. for some reason.
