Well my fave weapon is the whip, so I guess it doesn't really count. Otherwise it would obviously be a scimitar.

For melee I usually use a halberd or a scimitar depending on the situation. For ranged I use a magic short bow. I usually don't fight with magic but when I do I like to be holding an ancient staff. |

Actually i thing that the longsword isn't that bad really. I usually hit preatty high with that. You should try using them. There preatty good to. |
