Contents 1. Requirements 2. How to get there 3. What is on the island 4. The goal 5. Strategies 6. Rewards 7. Credits 8. Updates 1. With the newest update, you need a minimum combat level of 40 to even play the game, and you need to do at least 50 damamge to get a reward. Also, you can use the points to buy the armour that the Void Knights wear. This I got from the update. I will have screenshots showing the things you can buy and how much everything costs in a later update, coming ASAP. 2. Go to Port Sarim. Go to the southernmost dock, and talk to the squire. He will take you to an island near Ape Atoll. Then, head to the other side of the island. Board the lander by crossing the gangplank to begin. ![]() 3. There is a bank, a magic shop selling the basic runes, chaos, and death. There is also a general store, which sells the new item, Field Rations. The ranged shop sells javelins and arrow tips. 4. The Void Knight is currently trying to close portals that monsters are pouring out of, but it takes 20 minutes. So, either keep him alive for 20 minutes, or destroy the portals with everyone else. 5. Field Rations are not necessary. If you die, you simply respawn back at the lander with all your equipment and stats restored. When attacking the portal, several different monsters will come out, ranging in level from the low 20s to 157. The Brawlers, Spinners, Ravagers, Splatters, and Shifters use melee attacks. The Torchers will use magic, and Defilers will use ranged. Unfortunately, you can only have one protection spell on at a time. Fortunately, most monsters cannot do very much damage until their levels reach around 100 if you have at least 60 defense. The biggest problem is the Spinners, which will repair the portal. Most people will resolve the matter by killing Spinners, which is a waste of time. Simply attack the Spinners, and they will begin hitting you, completely ignoring the portals. Once the Spinners begin attacking you, and they cannot hit hard or often, then continue destorying the portal. The Spinners are so occupied with you, they will not heal the portal. There is a rumour floating around about using Special Attacks on the portals. Some say they spawn Spinners. This is completely and entirely UNTRUE. Monster spawns from the portals are completely random. Special Attacks have nothing to do with Spinners or spawning anything else. Another hint: if you are one who chooses to protect the Void Knight from the Shifters, whatever you do, do NOT kill a Shifter if he moves directly south of the Void Knight. That Shifter will prevent the ranging and magic-using monsters from hitting the Knight, prolonging his death by several minutes, which is enough to destroy the portals. A little note on the Splatters: when killed, they explode, causing damage. Not good. ![]() 6. If you and your team wins by either method of victory, then all players receive gold equal to 10 times their current combat level and 1 Void Knight Commemeration Point. The points are used for combat experience. While on the main island, you can right click one of the Void Knights walking around and click Exchange Void Knight. He will then provide you with a list of the 7 combat skills (hitpoints, ranged, magic, prayer, attack, defence, strength). You can click on one of the skills, then click Confirm [skill] xp. It will give you the listed amount of experience. The experience gained from each point is directly related to the level of the skill. The formula is the level of the stat squared, then divided by 6. Prayer is divided by 12, rather than 6. That's how much xp you will gain per Commemeration Point. ![]() 7. This guide is done almost entirely by me and my own personal experiences. I have tested the rumour about the Spinners, and figured out the Spinner strategy myself. I got the formula off runehq.com, as well as the note about Splatters exploding. RS Bits and Bytes can use this guide, along with any other web site that wishes to, as long as I receive full credit for it. If you have any questions, send me a private message in game or post on here, and I will answer as soon as possible. My username is Bladeofomega. 8. 4-21-06. Put in the two missing names, added a note about Splatters, put in formula, and added images. 4-23-06. Added requirements section. |

most of those are easy to figure out, but this is great for the morons that sit there and kill spinners, kill the south shifters at void knight, and refuse to use specs... also, that monster that you cant remember the name of is a torcher... and if you have 70+ def, the monsters in this game will almost never hit you... also, the best and fastest way to get through this game is to have 2 big teams of about 7 people and have one go to the west, and the other to the east.... then have them go kill the ones in front of the fort, this not only gets rid of the portals quickly, but if you kill the 2 on the sides first, the defenders really only have to worry about protecting from the front... anyways feel free to edit it, nice guide anyways i s'pose ![]() |
