Post subject:  Getting no random events?

Okay well I dont know how many times I have complained about getting absolutely NO random events. So I have developed a theory. Stop playing. I know it sounds bogus but for example, I half quit Runescape recently and I didnt play for around 2 months or maybe a bit more. When I logged in for the first time I got the Zombie random event and got a zombie shirt and boots. I logged in again the next day and got the pants and gloves. I now have full zombie. Another example is when I stopped playing for about 3-4 weeks as I went on holidays, I logged in and got a maze and about 3 MOM's.

So basically what Im saying is that I think, the less you play the more likely you are to get a random event or two. The bigger the gap of non-playing time the better the random event.

Thoughts?

There time triggered. The longer you're on rs doing something the closer the time comes when a random event will show up.

Or something along those lines.

..most don't like getting events and would rather have none, myself included.

Didn't work for me.

I hadn't played for months, but I logged in for AMV's party and no randoms.

I think it's name holds the clue, random events, so they're generated at a random time..?

I often get random events after a game of Rune Sudoku. And I wouldn't say I'm surprised that you have full zombie, as that event is actually not that rare.

Well, I think they're just random. I got 5 zombie events by killing the same lvl 2 man respawn and burying his bones every time I did a steel-smelting run.

and lon3wo7f! Wow! I just realised you are Zackb of RSR! Hi! I gave dez that name... I now call him Dez, the whacking ex-mod lol. He retired from his mod position and refused to take mod/hol ranks now.

I'm actually forced to oppose your conclusion, Crysala. I left Runescape for a while, and when I came back, I've been getting less and less random events. Like everyone else said, it's all to do with luck and hope.

The new 'zomby outfit' is not rare at all. That random event is the most common. I never get randoms and i got 2 of him alredy.

I think its just a quinicedence (however you spell that) :P. I get random events all the time and I haven't taken a break more then a few days for a long time.

Random events are used to stop autoers, so all you have to do is act like an autoer.

Well I think theres something else. I almost never get random events when I'm just standing around. You have to be doing something (i.e. fishing, burying bones, fletching, alching, etc).
