Yeah, I know this is "Just a game" but still I'd like to point out a few things that make NO sence in RS. If you know any more, feel free to tell me.

How can wearing armor make you shoot with a bow more accurate?

How can anyone eat a lobster whole in one bit with the shell?

How on EARTH can a sheild be fire-proof?

How can girls become warriors?

Armor isin't made of just metal...or is it? (Anyone know?)

How can drinking a strange mixture make you run faster?

How can making things out of leather take only 1 second?

How can stones (Runes) become powerful energy?

How can smithing, cooking, smelting, woodcutting take only seconds?

How can cutting down a tree be so easy? The trees are almost as tall as the characters.

How can wearing a cape make you stronger?

2 words:fantasy game.

And why cant girls become warriors???

because if you wear plate armor and try to fire an arrow you've movement is restricted nad harder to shoot. when wearing something like chain mail you can move your arms easier and thus easier to fire :)

although many armor is made out of metal only the outer shell is. what's underneath is important. mostly thingy soft to help absorb the impact.

hey man many shields are fireproof, they just get very hot :P

girls have become warriors...... the amazon warriors :)

because nomatter how tired you are, put hotsauce on your tougne and you'll run little a kid after an ice cream truck on a hot summer day :D

Well obviously they cooked it properly so they must have removed the shell of the lobster when cooking to eat it in one bit. :o

Shields can be fire-proof. There are metals which absorb the heat, it's just we don't touch the shield directly, we use a handle.

Girls can become warriors. In most Native American tribes women were hunters. :)

Armour is made of metal and some kind of clothing underneath it.

Well obviously we all took a sewing class before we got to Tutorial Island. :D

Well essence isn't just a rock. It's a material which can absorb any material. Just like a vaccuum.

We're all pros at survival skills. 8)

Naturally the trees are too weak so they can be chopped down with one hit.

The weight of the cape helps the weight of your arm as you swing a sword downwards.

Only one of those words is important to make the point.

Its a GAME!

I know, lobsters take ages to eat, and swords take ages to smith, but would you play runescape if it took 4 hours to make a longsword? I dont think so.

Regarding the armour, armour is mostly metal, although does have a small amount of leather in too.

And regarding the fire-proof shield, scientists have made a type of ceramic that you can put into a 1300 degrees C (about 2400 degrees F), take it out, and hold with your bare hand, and its only slightly warm. Coat a shield with that stuff, and you would have a pretty fireproof shield.

Answer to all your questions: It's a part of the game! People wouldn't like it if it was so realistic as it is in real life. If they want realistic they should go out and play outside! That's realistic.

I must remark that that's a computer game and not a simple game. thief18954 explained everything so well, that I don't have anything to say. Except a few things: 1. The strange mixture is called a potion. Potions are used in role playing and in fantasy books and movies to make someone stronger. 2. Girls can become warriors. I don't see a reason why they can't. 3. It's "shield", and why on EARTH can't a shield be fire-proof if it's made from, say, titanium, that melts in temperature of 3200ÂșC and above? 4. Rune stones are made-up to make the game interesting. You don't have to be that realistic. And real runes are written on scrolls anyway.

Well sense were all over analyzing each other... Runes were writings of "barbarian" groups. The vikings used runes and it is believed they created this writing by copying the greek and roman alphabets. The main place that viking runes remain is not on scrolls, but on stones and ruins.
:D At least thats what the sources I have read have to say about it.

Isn't this the second time you tried to make a point like this? :?

Well I'm not the person to be flamming but do you actualy consider yourself a gamer.

If you don't like runescape just don't play it

1. Good question...

2. Most of the things in Runescape are representative of a much greater area and time period. Lobsters take several minutes to eat, crops take months to grow, and armor can take days to complete. If their true size were shown, cities like Varrock and Ardougne would barely be small towns.

3. It can be with the right materials.

4. With a sword and the proper attitude.

5. Some types. Usually it has leather or cloth in there too.

6. That particular strange mixture can improve the flow of oxygen to the muscles so that they don't get tired as fast.

7. See #2.

8. They are pieces of magically absorbent rock that have been imbued at nodes of power.

9. See #2.

10. I expect the woodcutting axes have a hidden saw attachment. Or maybe it's something completely different...

11. Beats me. Maybe the character wears the cape and looks in the mirror while you're logged off and gets a boost in confidence from how cool they look.

And now, some more questions for your list:
* In the agility arena, why does the character try to dodge the darts instead of crawling under their path?

* Without meaning to, how do you snag a trip wire that you can plainly see?

The one about girls is a bit sexist.... :?

How come we can't hold a weapon at a certain level? Is there some magical barrier around it?

But it's just a game, I find these topics to talk about are fun, not serious.
