That would be a nice update? Don't you think?
Anyways you have to check this out: if you go to the smithing manual on http://www.runescape.com , you will see on that page a smithing interface for rune stuff. If you copy that image location into your title bar you will see it's called smithinginterface3.gif

If you change the 3 to a 2 you'll get the iron smithing interface instead of the rune interface. If you change it to 1 you get the iron interface where you can make iron boots :shock:

I wonder if they would put it into the game one day...

nice find southy.. and yes i think one day they will add those to the smithing skill..

But i dunno, the smithing skill lacks in detail, i mean, you take 1 bar to make a hatchet, a 1 bar of pure raw metal. and you get a axe head on a "wooden" stick.. where the hell does the wooden stick come from?..lol

just like iron boots etc, where would the other materials come from, such as leather etc. Because after all the whole boot isnt pure iron. Just mainly the top of them.

you have to much time on your hands :), i dont think this will be an update, as boots are slayer drops, but, this would make rune boots cheaper (yay) buy i use climbing boots for str+ anyway

Thats a good find. The page doesn't work for me but I still believe ya. Mabye the prices on rune boots will finally be reasonable for a pair of shoes. :P This will be an interesting update though. I wonder if you will need some kind of leather when making them so you can make the acrual shoe instead of just the metal part. Or if it will be like large helmets where the thing on top just appears out of nowhere.

Well I doubt it would be an addition... Why would they else host that picture on the site? Why even bother making it?

So my guess is it they will lance it someday. Maybe we just need to send them a little reminder.

armoured boots arent 'that' good anyway. lol, they give tiny def points, but I guess if you wanna pay 200k for like, 10 more to your defence then cool. I did :P

I hope they don't add it, the price of the boots would drop majorly which makes nechs worthless to kill once you got 80 slayer. Noticed it was only iron boots also no rune, mith, or addy ones. Though I think smithing should get an update been ages since they've added to that skill, atleast a decent update.
