Maybe it's because you are a low lvl ranger try to get your range to over 40. (I've heard your a real p0r when u have a skill over lvl 60 ![]() |

Rangers on f2p arent very good on there own, they work better on p2p. |

Pure ranged is better than ure str.. you can use adamant arrows with only ranged, and still hit quite high. However, if you were a pure strength, you would only be able to use say, an iron scimitar. Lowering your max hit significantly. my advice - get your defence slightly higher. |

You could always combine strength and range, making you a hybrid. |

no,no,no u dont understand, ill get ma attack to 40, and then str to 99 (eventually) and get mage to 25 with def 10 for blk armour i think that would be good with range 40 cos i could wear g'dragonhide with will protect me againt mage |

Attack influences range, melee and magic. If you get your attack up a bit you'll hit more with range. Range, str and magic just determine how high you hit with each specific skill, attack determines how often you hit high. Get your attack up a lil higher than it is. |

i know not hing bout f2p. but on p2p Pure Str by far. a person with 60attk 80Str can easily kill someone with 99range. because range is so under powerd. 4 accurate ddp specials compared to 1 unaccurate range speccial.. str fer realz |

Yes, I think range is much better than pure strength. A good thing you can try is getting a group of good rangers (60+) and start a clan. I remeber I was PKing with my pure account and I was alone. I came across a group of like three rangers and I was down even before I got near them. I was really po'd. So yea just get a little group and you should be fine. |

go with range at least you'll stand more of a chance fighting mages. for melees just be able to ensneer and fire your arrows |

I prefer range because with str you will need higher lvls before you can start pking. Also rangers are better cause you can shoot arrows at them even if they a re a few squares away from you unlike melee. just get 60+ range and enough mage for teles if youd like and for bind so you can stop em from running. |

Attack does not affect range... or mage. It's purely a melee stat. Range hitting is solely determined by range and def is shared by melee and range while HP is shared by all. Your hits are determined by a percent of your range - ie. max hit with rune arrows is 20% of your range roughly. Range truely ruled the wild in P2P until ancient magik came out... now mage has a tremendous advantage. Which actually kind of irks me because people get high mage by using non-combat spells - not really paying thier dues imo. I thought to myself - when seercull came out and all the mages were complaining - Why the heck should they complain... more balance is needed between the three classes as the triangle was made lopsided before, they're just complaining because now they do not have the overporwering advantage. Anyway, by far melee which was once the way to pk has more disadvantages these days. |
