Post subject:  Champions' Challenge Question?
Did anyone got invited to a challenge yet? if yes what monster did you kill and how many times did you kill it? also what you are in a challenge can what lvl monster do you fight?

Most important question, when i want down there i couldn't teleport out if you fight is this the situation also or can you teleport?

I'd just like to know which races offer challenges. From what I saw in the hall I can guess gnomes, Fremenniks, TzHaar, werewolves, elfs, and dwarfs, but I understand someone got one from a hobgoblin, so it seems a reasonable guess that there are others.

Jagex said that those are not the creatures you have to fight, and that those are the champions or somehting, heres a quote from the official forums (not a mod, just someone who noticed)

We would just like to clarify, that creatures sitting in the champions guild are NOT the creature types you will need to kill if you want to get a champions challenge.

Those guys are the champions of champions, you might possibly get to fight one of their number if you can complete enough other challenges from "lower champions."

Sorry we're not going to give away what creatures are likely to challenge you initially. The only hint that we're giving is that the ones in the bottom of the champions guild are NOT the ones you are after, they'll only challenge you later.

We have updated the news story and manual pages to reflect this fact too.

I really don't think Fire Giants do because my slayer master gave me to kill 223 2 days ago, then 251 last night, so just after the update i killed around 500-600 of them, got nothing.

what are they supose to drop? a message?

Yes, they drop something similar to the Clue Scroll, except I think it's called Challenge Scroll. And you could spend whole days there without getting nothing, everything is just random

yeah, just cause the chances of, say, a d chain drop from a dust devil is 1 in 500,000 doesnt mean if you kill 500,000 you WILL get a d chain or 2, it's an average

yeah, if you read up you'll see u dont get challenges from lessers, so good luck getting one, kill somethnig with a lot more monsters, like gnomes n stuff
